Iconic Casino & Canyon Views Our Home in the Mountains Regardless of the time of year, Ameristar Hotel has become our go-to destination when venturing into the mountains. While the facilities, both on the gaming floor and within the hotel, are satisfactory, it's the exceptional staff that truly sets this property apart. Friendly and Professional Staff; The staff at Ameristar, particularly those at the tables, consistently demonstrate a high level of professionalism and friendliness. Their warm hospitality and expertise make our gaming experiences truly enjoyable, and we always look forward to playing and winning here! Ameristar has earned its place as our home away from home in the mountains. We appreciate the consistent quality and warmth of the staff and look forward to many more memorable visits.

Beds & Pillows are a Torture Chamber I keep thinking this hotel will finally update the mattresses & pillows in the rooms, an issue for years

My favorite place to Stay and Play in Blackhawk Whenever i want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, i take a 1 hour drive through Clear Creek Canyon to Blackhawk, CO and stay at the Ameristar Hotel & Casino. The drive is absolutely breathtaking and on occasion, I am able to see wildlife which is an extra bonus. Parking at Ameristar is free in the garage with ample EV charging stations if you need one. Hotel Check in is on the 2nd level and it's always nice when the front desk Clerk remembers your name and addresses you by it at check in. The indoor pool stays open until 11:00 pm and is large enough to do laps without swimming into another guest. The Casino is always lively with winner bells going off in the slot machine area(s) and loud cheering from the table game area(s) celebrating the winners. There are always contests and give aways going on, so be sure to check the overhead screens for those announcements. When it's time to retire for the day, the well equipped guest rooms are by far the most spacious and well appointed in Black Hawk with everything you need including a safe, refrigerator, coffee machine, ironing board & Iron, hair dryer and toiletries. The beds are hands down the most comfortable I've ever slept in and with the wide variety of channels available to choose from, its easy to find something good to watch on TV before bed. Upon check out the Front desk clerk always asks "how was your stay?' which shows they truly care about your experience and always strive for 5 Stars. I highly recommend Ameristar Casino & Resort for anyone who is looking for a place to stay in Black Hawk!
