Check in fee, poor customer policy/service Hotel was ok. Tried to check in at 1PM vs their 3PM check in per website. We were told if the room was ready we could check in but had to pay an extra $20. Why? If the room is ready why do we pay more? What does it cost them? I understand a charge to stay late. They may have to pay for expedited room service, adjust arrival reservations, etc. Even if this is policy & it may be, it shows what is really important to them. Money!! Not the customer.

Nice hotel The Chateau Hotel and Conference Center in Bloomington, Illinois is a beautiful hotel on the inside and out. The room was nice and the shower was amazing. The breakfast was great, but that morning, there was a power outage in part of the hotel, so the elevators were out of service and the lights were out. I would recommend staying at this hotel.

Dingy run down Thirty years ago this hotel was probably a beautiful hotel. Now it is dingy and run down The shower took forever for water to make it way to shower head and toilet would hardly flush. Carpet stretched so badly you could could trip over the rolls Rust rings in the tub, furniture old not antique Need to renovate or close

YUCK! The price was good for the night. However, the hotel smells horrible! We were on the bottom floor, and it was very dirty! Your feet stuck to the floor, the tub had (looked like blood) on the wall, and dust everywhere! I will admit the bed was pretty comfortable, but there were empty bottles under the edge, so you know it wasn't thoroughly cleaned. Elevator was out, pool area had a very strong chlorine smell, and they were pulling the breakfast up 20 minutes before it was scheduled to be over. (I only ate a packaged muffin-would not dare eat or drink anything cooked.) We had driven all day, so we were too tired to go elsewhere that late. I did walk around, and I think this place has ALOT of potential!!! Would love to see it get cleaned up. With the right owner and management, it would be spectacular!

Great stay Come here once a month for an overnite date nite with my husband. Clean and good breakfast. Price is great, too. In a great location to shopping and restaurants.
