Disappointing, and far too warm The King Suite has to be the smallest suite we've ever stayed in. Low ceilings, a small bathroom, and furnishings were worn and getting a bit shabby. We stayed in the Park Plaza side of this hotel and had trouble getting in the door. Our room key only opened the door once. Other times we had to either buzz and buzzzzzzz and buzzzzzzzz or get lucky when someone was leaving. Very frustrating. Our room was hot. I turned the AC down when we got to the room at 3:30. We organized our luggage, freshened up, and left again. When we got back, the room was warmer than when we left. I walked down to reception and spoke with a Guest Services Supervisor. Apparently (if I am to judge by the eye-rolls), I am stupid for not knowing this without being told - this hotel is eco-friendly and you have to be IN the room and moving around for the AC to work until 10 pm. At 10 pm we became VIP's and the AC works. We didn't sleep. The room cooled off at about 6 am. This hotel is too expensive to treat guests like this. On our next trip to Minneapolis, I'll book elsewhere.

Great experience I stayed here for one night and had a great experience. The rooms were spotless and luxurious, and the staff was friendly. Everything was excellent but a bit too expensive, as the services didn't match the high price. But everything is fine and good.

Convenient location and pleasant staff. I really liked this place, the people that I dealt with that worked here were all pleasant at the desk, the shuttle drivers the morning cafeteria worker, one in particular a woman, wasn’t really really nice but otherwise I thought everybody was doing a good job. The one complaint is that they didn’t have any non dairy milk at the breakfast. I mean come on, in this day and age, have non dairy milk. I appreciated the breakfast for my man, he gets hangry if he doesn’t have something 1st thing. The hallway carpets could us a good cleaning and there was way to much chlorine in the pool. The room was spacious and clean other than that I found a little fake nail on the carpet. Convenient to the Mall and easy to get Ubers.

Yuck The low price, and location near mall and shuttle service to the airport was desirable. But for two young children and two adults the room was cramped and inadequate. Fold out sofa was awful. Hotel in general was dirty and our room was worn and grimy.

Check reservation, then again, after maybe a few more times. If arrival late at night you are taking a big chance. Our flight out of Nashville was delayed, as were most flights in America. We called ahead to ensure our room would still be available and they confirmed. However, we arrived after 1am to find no rooms available. The lady at the reception claimed we booked through a 3rd party site, which we did not (had proof) They offered to send us to another hotel and provide two rooms instead of one, although we haven't yet seen if they will try and charge us for this. About an hour later, we arrived at a dreadful 1-star motel. The two rooms they gave us were located on opposite ends. It was after 2 am and we were out of options. It was around 4 am when my kids finally stopped crying from this whole ordeal. I've added a picture of where they sent us. The following morning, we had to pay for an Uber back to the hotel. There was no offer to cover these costs by the hotel. I repeatedly asked if they could offer any compensation for the inconvenience they caused us in the form of a free night, better room or passes to the Mall of America, but they showed no interest. They seemed indifferent to whether we cancelled our stay or not. The lady at the front desk certainly didn't seem interested in making things right. Regrettably, there is nothing else available in our price range in this location, so we are still here for 2 more nights, but the likelihood of me staying at a Choice hotel again is slim to none. I understand that there were major issues in the USA on Friday, but for the place to confirm that we were okay to arrive when we did, and then not to try and make things right, shows poor customer service. To add to the dissatisfaction, the gentleman that tried to help us at night was very nice. This was our very first experience with Minnesota as well. There is still time to make things right. I called corporate as well and lodged a complaint, although I'm not confident that they will resolve the matter while we're still here. After speaking with a corporate representative, I was transferred to someone who tried to persuade us to go to a timeshare stay.
