Green Park Inn

We had a wonderful stay We had a wonderful stay at this very interesting historic hotel. The area was scenic and close enough to blowing rock and historic districts far enough away to feel safe and out of the hustle and bustle the staff here is wonderful will return.

Old Hotel. Needs a major overhaul. From top to bottom. Staff were friendly. The floor they put us on, we never seen or heard another person. I think we were the only ones on that floor. The room. The bed and fixtures were old. Not collectible, just old. Room looked like it hadn’t been updated since the 1990’s. Probably would not stay here again

Fun historic property. Fun experience with a historic property. Decent restaurant. The weekend we stayed there was a murder mystery event and live music. We enjoyed our stay. We had dinner at the restaurant and it was good. We also enjoyed some wine in the parlor while we listened to live music and did a sing along with some of the other guests.

Green Park Inn - historic and a little "old" Room was good size and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom is definitely tight. The staff were all very nice and helpful. The full breakfast was a very pleasant surprise. We enjoyed sitting in the rockers on the front porch reading or sipping a glass of wine.

Helping out strangers in need On may the 22 around 8:30 pm me and my son n law traveled to lienor NC to Pick up some furniture. Up on our return it back up the mountain. Our GMC denali blew out a heater hose. which instantly we lost all antifreeze. The fortunate part was we were right in front of your hotel. Pull off to the side. And when inside to see if we could find some Help.We managed to find a gentlemen named Tom Cimmons In the kitchen area who's more than glad of assistance with some water? We were stranded 3 hour from home with a load of furniture on our trailer. Tom was more than gracious enough to give one of us a ride down to the nearest parts store to get parts he did more than anyone else would expect someone to do to help us even stay in with us. Lone hid tools absolutely refused to take any money for use of his vehicle or his time or tools. His hospitality and his friendship was beyond any word. I'd ever expect from another total stranger from another town. He went above and beyound Until we got back on the road. It took over 2 and a 1/2. Maybe 3 hours leaving it to vehicle parts in boone and back on the road and he stayed with us the entire time. Offering any assistance tools or anything we may need. I wish there were more people like Tom that care for other people that they dont even know once again. I offered to reimburse him when he refused. He said that's just what you do for people. Very impressed, if all the people is that hotel have the word work ethic and ability. It must be one heck of a place to go to I would. I recommend to go on a meeting him from what I ungerstand he's a head chef in the restaurant again. I can't thank you enough for all you did. And I can only imagine what kind of place it must be if. They have that type of employee's as Tom We are definitely coming back and making a special trip.Just to stay there and meet the people in the area.Because we were overwhelmingly impressed with is willing to go above and beyond help us thanks from me and all my faimly !
