Read Reviews and Be Careful There's nothing like watching homeless folks from your window and being unable to walk outside the front door of your hotel. Thankfully there was a security guard (a first for a stay at a Hampton), security for the elevators, and security to enter the building. The room and the rest of the property were very nice, but this is not a place to bring your family for a Boston adventure. The first night we ended up ordering Uber Eats and even the local driver commented that it was "scary out there."

Good value for Boston Ok lets get the obvious out of the way. This hotel isnt in the best part of town. There are a lot of homeless that congregate in this area and all around the entrances. But that being said, the hotel has 24 hour security and at no point in my 5 night stay did i feel unsafe. In fact the opposite. The security and staff was very polite and nice and do a great job at meeting the Hilton standard. The shuttle drivers were both amazing and VERY helpful. The rooms were comfortable and housekeeping did a good job. The connected Cuban restaurant was good for a nice dinner or a quick beverage before bed. Breakfast was as you expect and the 24 hour coffee was always hot at anytime of day/night. The shuttle has ideal drop off locations that make the city walkable from the dropoffs. Only other negative I had was the pool was ICE cold and just not my "cup of tea". at that temperature. Overall I would likely stay here again as the only negatives were outweighed by the positives.

NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY- BE ADVISED! NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY- BE ADVISED! This location is on the corner of Massachusetts Ave & Melnea Cass Blvd. On this corner is a large homeless population. We watched people injecting drugs, smoking crack, throwing their needles in the street. Trash everywhere. The activity did not stop at any point throughout the day or night. There is a police presence but they don't seem to get out of their vehicles. The police drive around corralling the people back to the other side of the street. The addicts are very active in the street. There is a security guard who sits by the hotel door. The hotel never locked the front doors day or night. This hotel is also next to a hospital so there is lots of ambulance/siren activity. The hotel and amenities are actually pretty good, the staff is nice, but the location is terrible. If you are uncomfortable around this type of environment I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL.

Hotel staff made our trip wonderful, close to Fenway and House of blues Excellent staff, security was perfect, hotel was clean, breakfast was wonderful. Stayed here to go to concert at House of Blues. This hotel has a shuttle, manager is very helpful and pleasant with anything you need ( contact solution,etc.). Staff were kind and helpful when we were hangry. Door dash delivery was frustrating , 2x orders not delivered before got the most delicious pizza delivery from a responsible door dash driver . Pool was nice, very family friendly. Yes there are homeless outside as this is everywhere , they have a beautiful little park to sit in with flowers. I felt safe, the security at this hotel is amazing, they are checking outer doors constantly, they even check pool area which is key card only. Would recommend!

Hampton Inn Boston Crosstown Center Wow, this had to be the most subpar hotel I've ever stayed out. Wish I had read the reviews before I booked. The hotel itself was OK, we did have an issue in our bathroom shower. There was the tub spigot, a chest-high handheld shower head (for handicap I presume), and the regular shower head higher up. The higher up shower head did not work, so we had to use the chest-high handheld when showering. Location wise, this hotel is in a horrible neighborhood. There is a hospital across the street, and we heard ambulance/police sirens all night. There is also a park across the street filled with homeless/junkies, keep looking over your shoulder if you go out! The Cuban restaurant attached to the lobby is pretty bad...I ordered a glass of red wine and it was rancid. The empanada's tasted like frozen Old El Paso. I ordered a supposed 9 ounce skirt steak topped with a fried egg for my entree. While the skirt steak was seared/cooked perfectly, there was no way it was 9 ounces, the fried egg on top completely covered the steak. Morelike a 4 ounce steak. Plus they automatically add an 18% tip to you bill (there was two of us). Pay a few extra dollars and stay somewhere else...do not recommend.
