Boulder Suite was not Sweet! Yep, it’s the old green apartment ! Horrible! What you see on their website you may NOT get. We booked a suite and got a run down, old, smelly apartment across from the Boulderado facing the parking lot! See the photo! This Suite was not sweet. Old dirty carpet and nasty. We canceled our reservation then and there! Luckily, the manager understood and our money was refunded. We had to drive to Broomfield and stayed at the Omni. Inconvenient to say the least and very disappointing.

Location, location, location There is very little criticize about the Boulderado. I stayed in a room in the North Wing, which was the more recent construction, so I cannot comment on the historic rooms in the original hotel, but my room was comfortable, quiet, and well appointed. There was plenty of light, a good desk, a small fridge, and a comfortable bed. The hotel lobby is beautifully done, and there are a couple of restaurants and a good bar on the premises. Plus, it is a block from the pedestrian mall at Pearl Street with its numerous shops, bars, and restaurants. The Boulderado is not an inexpensive choice, but I found it to be an excellent place to stay and worth the price.

Old World Charm in the Foothills of the Rockies Hotel Boulderado retains its prime location in downtown Boulder a block from Pearl Street and its many stores and restaurants. The hotel also retains its old world charm, but with modern conveniences. The restaurant food was very good, including pleasant outdoor seating for happy hour on the day we visited. Staff was responsive, although less knowledgeable about restaurants and other shopping in the area than in my prior visits. They still have efficient valet parking that is reasonably priced for the area.

Look eleswhere The only thing that keeps this higher than a one, is the beautiful lobby. The unwelcoming staff give a feeling of interrupting their day. A warning about the tiny overcrowded historic rooms should be given before reserving for the night. The AC is loud and poorly circulates. Curtains were broken and had to use ice bucket to hold them closed so as to not be blinded by the afternoon sun. Room 512 is like an attic storage room. For the price, go anywhere else. Had great expectations but disappointed.

Great experience Well maintained historic hotel in easily walkable location. Stayed in a queen size room on the historic side. Room was clean, bathroom was spotless! Only 2 notes - our hotel room door deadlock did not bolt all the way (misaligned with the door frame) and there were dust clumps on the ceiling coming from the vent system. Other than that, bed was comfortable and experience was overall a good one.
