Just needs a few improvements We stayed 10 nights and whilst we had a lovely holiday sadly I don’t think this is the hotel for us in Barbados. The staff are amazing, shout out to Chemar, Rayden and Damien they really are assets. For us we felt the food options were disappointing, there really was not a great deal of choice and menus were repetitive. But the food we had was nice! No fizz available on the all inclusive was a big let down too. It doesn’t have to be fancy but we do love a mimosa on holiday. Our other gripe was the daily battle for sunbeds. I just don’t enjoy getting up at 6/630am to get a sunbed in the sun on the beach or around the pool. Plus points: Location on the island Sea is stunning (pending the mangrove hasn’t burst its bank into it) Sundown Saturday great music, canapés and the only opportunity for fizz. The beach club next door has reggae Sunday take a drink and sit in the sea and enjoy!

A lot of positives! This was our second trip to Barbados, first time staying at Mango Bay. The hotel does have a lot of positives, but for us the food was a huge let down. Pros The location is absolutely perfect. in a beautiful area with direct beach access, which was spotless. Fantastic choice of water sports (some free, some at an additional cost) and all great fun. On the whole very friendly and attentive staff, with some standouts, including bar staff and watersports staff. Reception staff were hit and miss, with them not even bothering to ask if we enjoyed out stay on check out! Rooms were generally clean and tidy, albeit a little tired, but that wasn't a problem. We had two rooms, and whilst ours was really clean, the second we discovered had rubbish and melted ice lollies under the beds from previous guests and there was a recurring lack of towels. The position and noise from the bar next door was no trouble whatsoever and didn't disturb us at all. As mentioned the big issue for us was the food. Breakfast was absolutely fine and our "egg lady" was fabulous. Lunch was ok too. However, evening meals in our opinnion were far from good. For a small hotel, its strange that on buffet nights you wouldn't cook fish fresh on the hot plate to order. Instead it was in a food warmer and left to dry out so ended up rubbery. Warmers were frequently empty and not refilled promptly, choices on a la carte evenings were random at best - One night pork steak with apple sauce was replaced by Beef........still with apple sauce! Quality of meet was poor and salad selection in the evening was virtually non exisitent. Soup available without bread rolls. Marina pasta which tasted like pasta in tomato soup. We are not fussy eaters in the slightest, but this was by far the worst we've experienced from a hotel. There was also the issue of flies which whilst cannot be entirely eradicated, the hotel could have done more. Would we return? - only on a B&B basis.

Lovely hotel Excellent hotel, food very good, a lovely selection of dishes to choose from the 10days that we stayed ,good selection of cocktails and position of hotel was on a lovely sandy beach, always a choice of subbed and lots of sun shades, and good service to get drinks throughout the day. Getting into the sea could be abit tricky as stepped down quickly, but sea was clear and warm with a good selection of fish . Room always cleaned to a very high standard, didn’t find any noise to be a problem in the room we stayed in. Would definitely stay again .

A perfect holiday Thank you Mango bay for the best 10 day holiday. We went with our 19 year old and it was perfect for all of us. The hotel is right on the beach so perfect for swimming, snorkelling and all the free water sports. The food from breakfast, lunch and dinner caters for all types with fresh fish and salads but also burgers for others. The staff were all fantastic, they work so hard making sure everything is perfect. Special shout to Faith and Jalissa in the dining room and Damian for his expert cocktail dancing! But all the staff were great, so thank you. Our room was always cleaned, topping up what we had used. The evening entertainment was always happy music and dancing to end the day. There is nothing negative to say about this amazing hotel. I was concerned about some reviews but I couldn't be happier to have stayed her and will be returning.

Great little hotel in perfect spot Really lovely little hotel. Outstanding beach location, think you’d struggle to beat it, loads of water sports to do, swim to turtles, stingray, snorkelling straight from beach, free water sports included. Food and cocktails were really good and incredible value for money. We ate out a couple of times to get to see a bit more of the place at good restaurants but felt our food at the hotel was just as good. We paid for beach view room which was just lovely. Lots to do in close walking distance. We also hired a car for 2 days which is worth doing. Staff all super friendly and great service. Some of prior reviews concerned me but they needn’t have! Just perfect Barbados experience. Oh and west coast is the best place to stay!!! x
