Never again.. and told friends and family NO! The first room we got had all the dirty towels and bedding from the last people. So they moved us to a new room, which was smaller.. fine, they didn’t have any other king suites. But there was no adjustment for the room difference. The second room they gave us had a reddish/brownish stain on one of the bedside lampshades. The other bedside lamp didn’t even have a bulb. There was like dried food or something chunky on the comforter. The floors were dirty. There was stuff in the carpet, like it hadn’t been vacuumed lately. The bathroom floor was dirty and there were Bobby pins on the floor (not mine) and the floor around the base of the toilet was dirty, like it hadn’t been mopped in a while. The tub needs new chaulk, it was black. And the tub didn’t drain very well. The facility itself was sketchy. There were areas of the walls that were crumbling. The outlets weren’t even set into the walls correctly. The floors were gross, also hasn’t been cleaned in awhile. The pool area floor was also dirty and garbage and debris on the floor. They ran out of pool towels. The pool and the hot tub were closed due to a child having an accident, which is no fault of the hotel, just super disappointing to a 10 year old who has a whole afternoon to kill. The Mexican restaurant on site was also a little sketchy. Dirty floors and walls. Also had outlets not set correctly. We stayed there 2/16 and 2/17 for part of the day because we actually just ended up leaving and going home. And I didn’t think to get any pictures.

There's Better Than This in Brookings Don't be 'taken in' by the photos of this hotel; this hotel is old and tired. The welcome by a single staff person was perfunctory at best (hardly said a word) and the clerk was dressed as if he had just come in from working on his car. On the surface the room appeared clean but there was ample evidence that 'thorough' cleaning was not on the hotel menu. The complimentary breakfast was poorly supplied and poorly managed (by the same guy that worked the front desk). I was informed by a local resident the hotel had formerly been a Holiday Inn. I'd recommend 'taking a holiday' from this hotel.

Lazy River pool and great restaurant on site. This hotel must have been AWESOME 15 years ago! The pool area is a splash park with a lazy river, hot tub, & regular pool. You do have to pay a couple dollars to use it but it was a hit. There is a restaurant on location, La Cantina, that is wonderful! The food is great and staff was awesome too. There was a wedding going on in the large conference center-looked like nice accommodations. Now the hotel - well it needs updating and our room could have been cleaner. Chips/crackers under the stained cushion on the chair. We did check the bed for bugs-it was ok. The bed was very comfortable and we had 2 good nights of sleep. The hot breakfast was good. The most negative, and the reason I gave it a 3 out of a 5 rating, was the guy at the front desk. He was very negative and made me feel like we were bothering him by checking in and out. Very grumpy and zero personality, even though he said “he was living the dream” _ I would stay here again due to the pool and the restaurant and maybe there will be a new person at the front desk.

Time and housekeeping forgot this place Pretty awful experience. This hotel seems like it has been neglected for many years. Stains all over the carpets, grungy bedding and poorly maintained facilities. Front desk person seemed extremely irritated doing his job as if guests were a nuisance. It’s cheap and the floor is constantly wet from the kids coming and going to the pool. Don’t stay here unless you are bringing kids for the pool and are looking for cheap regardless of the quality.
