Not filthy, not clean This hotel desperately needs an upgrade. It is worn out, paint chipping, moldy smells, extremely loud air-conditioning, paper thin walls, dirty carpets. The cleaning staff did not give us new shampoo bottles when we ran out. Front desk staff is nice but did not offer valet like the website indicated. Really don't recommend.

Not much left in Brooklyn to choose from I think there is not much to choose from in this part of Brooklyn. But Best Western has not moved up very much. Small cramped rooms, musty smell, toilet runs, and bathroom lights flicker on and off. But the staff was fantastic and helpful. And definitely conveniently located.

Never staying here again Staff that handled breakfast was great. We came in at 5pm and check in is at 3 and the room was not ready so we had to wait. Also, the next night after being out for the day, we came back to our room and when approaching our room noticed cleaning staff left our room opened with the latch lock and all our valuable items were in the room. But also, no one in there so we had someone come and check to make sure it was a safe to enter just in case.

Poor hotel but good location Despite leaving requests for room cleaning on door the room was not cleaned after the first night (3 night stay) so no clean towels or beds made. After the first morning we did not bother with breakfast again as it was poor. Last night the keycard did not work so we had to return to reception late at night.

Under New Management, but no evidence of any Supervision. Stayed for a week, but wish that I'd booked elsewhere. This business is putting itself into a situation of diminishing returns and may well be 'back on the market' very soon. The Bar is derelict and closed, they even don't switch on the outside lights at night. The 'breakfast offer' has reduced the choice and available food items, with nothing in the cabinets in the 'very early' morning breakfast service on several occasions. Twice I had to summon the only woman working to get some more food . They have a small domestic toaster for the entire service, which is wholly inadequate. The reception desk was left unattended for long periods; we had to wait over 20 mins to check in ,as there was an empty desk with a " back soon" sign on it. When it was attended, there was this surly, " couldn't care less" dude stood there with a face like a wet weekend in Williamsburg. In conclusion, I always considered BW to be professional operators, but definitely not here. Fancy a beer, then walk on over to 3rd or fifth Ave. I think their next move , now that the service has been run down, will be to fill it with 'immigrants'.
