This hotel is rather old. Need refurbishment. I stayed for 2 nights in this hotel (with Trafalgar tour) and take note that this hotel does not offer any room service , even the Japanese restaurant Koto, is already closed for sometime. Be prepared to store some snacks with you. I saw there is a lounge after the reception, but i am not sure if it is still open at night. The elevator is very slow and small. There is one near to the reception and another elevator located at the back of the connected building. There is a Japanese garden behind the lounge area. In addition, the bedsheet was dirty and i noticed that it has not been changed for , i can feel itchy my skin is sleeping on it. So better sleep with proper pajamas with long sleeves and long pants The furniture is old and the mattress is thin. Although it is said to be a 4 star hotel, but i think overall i would give it 3 to 3.5 I went to the reception twice to ask for info, and I have to call for someone loudly, before anyone will come to the reception to attend to me. Perhaps the occupancy rate was not high that time. One advantage is , if someone is looking for a peaceful place to stay in for several days, this may be the place. Else, it is better to stay near the city area or other place. Another plus point is, outside of this hotel (across the bridge), there is a bus stop. In order to walk there to the Grote Markt, it will take around 15 minutes walk, for slow pace people, perhaps, 20-25 minutes. From this hotel one will need to walk pass some small roads , eg walk from Potterei, crossing the bridge to Genthof and then walk to Acedmiestraat and then once reach Vlamingstraat, from here, one can walk all the way straight towards the square, along the way, one can definitely see the iconic Belfort Bell Tower in front. The main square in Bruges don't allow bus or coach to in there. Or One can take the bus at the opposite of this hotel : Brugge Snaggaardbrug and get down at stop Brugge Stadsschowubrrug perron 2 , from there, you can walk to Vlamingstraat.

Brudges in April 2025 First time in Bruges with my husband. The hotel is clean and close to the city center. Walking distance. Map given at front desk. This hotel was through Gate1 our first tour with them. City is fabulous. Recommend this hotel. Breakfast was a buffet and good.

More of a big B&B This is not somewhere to go if you are expecting the usual hotel hospitality - restaurant, bar etc. Think of it as more of a big bed and breakfast and manage your expectations. When we stayed, only a limited bar menu on 1 night was availabile. For the rest of the stay there was no bar or restaurant and we were not advised of the closures. Bedroom was fine, quiet and clean but overall the place and staff felt a little tired and lackluster

Great stay, loved the location We arrived about noon so room wasn’t ready but we were able to leave our luggage and go for a wander. The hotel is very conveniently situated not far from centre of Bruges. Lovely walk by the canal. We had a huge room overlooking the canal, the heating was great, bed very comfortable and bathroom good. The room itself was a bit tired looking, could do with a paint but was spotless. We chose not to have our room serviced, not necessary if only staying 3 nights. Breakfast was included and was adequate. 2 min walk across the canal you can get number 2 bus to train station.

Lovely quiet hotel Stayed for two nights as a couple. The hotel is only 15 mins taxi ride from Bruges train station costing about €11. It's located within 10 mins walk from the main square, passing across the canal bridges and past historic houses, restaurants and bars. The room was fairly basic with only a couple of working English TV channels (but we weren't there to watch TV). The room was chilly to start with but soon warmed up with the warm air heating. Staff are helpful, polite and friendly. The water pressure is incredible for a much needed hot bath when we got back after hours walking around the city in minus temperatures. Didn't get to the spa downstairs, so can't comment on that, but it's an option for next time. Breakfast was pretty good with hot and cold options. Overall, we had a good experience and would stay there again.
