Bad The walls are paper thin. I can clearly hear the TV from the neighboring room and the conversation taking place there. The room has an unpleasant smell. The mattress is uncomfortable. The toilet runs noisily at random. The TV is hit or miss. The channel I was watching froze up about 45 minutes ago and shows no sign of unfreezing. The whole experience gives Budget and Basic new, unwelcome meanings.

Hard pass Skip it. Firstly, NO breakfast in late March 2022 because of COVID? Give me a break!! And a 10am checkout? Are you kidding? I even asked nicely for an 11am checkout and they flat out out refused. Walls are super thin too - can hear my neighbors’ TV and the street noise. Hard pass.

Good Motel, Great Value Bottom Line is I slept well, shower was great, staff was patient and helpful. It’s an older courtyard style hotel about a mile from the shops and food. Seems to be well cared for even if some of the amenities are older and functional. Was mystified by the electric baseboard heater but true to promises from staff it eventually heated up and kept me comfortable on a very cold night. Discounted rate was one of the best deals around.

good place to spend the night while passing through This is a roadside motel, and looks fairly old, but it is kept up reasonably well. The room was small, just big enough for two double beds, and a nightstand between them, so the people on the other side of both beds would not have good light for reading. The beds were fairly comfortable. The shower/toilet part of the bathroom was small, but the shower had a nice big showerhead with good spray and plenty warm. The bathroom had basic toiletries and a sink out in the main room. So not very quiet and hard to keep dark if people in the bedroom are sleeping. There even was an ironing board, but no iron. The bedroom had a desk, comfortable desk chair, but no other seating. There was a combination chest of drawers/ cabinet with a large mini-fridge, with a small microwave and a small flatscreen TV on top. Wifi worked fine. The wall AC is in the sink area of the bathroom, so even though it's a bit loud, it is not in the bedroom. It was off when we arrived, but cooled down a very warm room in less than an hour, and kept us comfortable all night. There is a small continental breakfast with make your own waffles, bagels, English muffins, cereal, juice, fruit, coffee, etc. Not bad. There was seating for 10 people, plus a table for six on the deck. Service was friendly and prompt. An Indian family is running the motel. They seem to take some pride in running a decent place, not just milking it for money. The price was fair, all things considered, especially for mid-coast Maine during a summer of COVID. But book ahead. Everything fills up and then prices go through the roof.
