Great option for a stay The buffet offered for breakfast at the lodge was a real breakfast with lots of variety. The room was comfortable and clean. The price was very reasonable and being close to the park, shuttle and amenities was great. The groceries available were a bonus. I would recommend this place.

Average experience Large lodge with many facilities. Room with a cice view to the lake, the room itself was not flashy. It is located close to the entrance to Bruce Canyon national park. The size of the restaurant is characterized by the fact that many customers have to pass through, and this affects the selection and quality of the food. The indoor pool was overcrowded and we never found the outdoor pool, but I suspect it was located close to the camping ground.

Kitschy and fun While this was not the most comfortable location we staying on our trip the the Utah Big 5, it was the most interesting. Ruby's lodge contains gift stores, a small grocery store with refrigerated prepared meals and hot coffee, and even a post office. The staff were helpful and we were given the breakfast buffet as our continental breakfast at Cowboys Buffet and Steak Room. The shuttle bus to and from Bryce Canyon National Park picks up right in front of the hotel, but we did not use the shuttle. Our room was not in the main lodge, which is where the indoor pool is located so we did not experience that amenity. We were able to drive right up to our motel room door, which allowed us to easily unload and reload our car. It was not particularly quiet or dark in our room so I recommend ear plugs and sleep masks if you stay here. The room did have a microwave, refrigerator, and coffeemaker. We saw that the camp site attached has interesting options for camping, including teepees, and it's own outdoor pool. I am glad we stayed here just because it's such a unique place.

This is the only place to stay in a very small town, but the canyon is worth it! There are a lot of good points with this property and a few bad, but compared to the options, it is a 5. We enjoyed our stay because the park is so beautiful--one of the best we have ever visited. Put it on your bucket list. The reception area is very nice. The place is a mob scene--visitors everywhere. To make matters worse, there is a huge souvenir/general store AND grocery store just off the lobby. It looks like the locals use it as their Walmart. The rooms (we stayed in the 2 story buildings a quarter mile from the main lodge) are spartan, but are clean, quiet, and have what is necessary. Parking is available in front of them, but stairs to the second floor are limited--pack a light overnight bag. The dining area is far too small for the number of guests, but the food is well prepared. The breakfast buffet is another mob scene--lots of food, but too little service to keep up with the table turnover. Staying here is a unique experience, but Bryce Canyon makes all of it disappear! Just "bite the bullet" and enjoy the beauty of the park and the drive to/from the hotel. Make certain you drive inti the town in a different way than you drive out--it is some of the most beautiful driving we have done anywhere. BUT gas up!!! There are not a lot of stations available on the road.

Fantastic Experience When I booked this hotel I thought it was just a regular, Best Western hotel but it felt like Disneyland. This hotel is massive and has everything you need. A big market store filled with clothing, souvenirs, food, drinks, etc -- and across the street is a little "town" with an ice cream shop and a souvenir shop. You can make a dinner reservation for a country music show which is also down the street, a 3 min walk from the hotel. My sister and I were really impressed by it and how close it is to Bryce Canyon Park. The only thing I didn't like is that the pool is small and located inside a building as opposed to outside. The rooms were good and spacious, with a fridge too.
