Perfect customer service, exceptional front desk manager Yes, it is a lovely hotel next to the bay but it was the staff that made it special. I was attending a dance convention (held there annually) last week. I live only 40 miles from the hotel but too far to drive home after dancing late into the evening so I stay at the hotel. This year I arrived at the hotel and realized I had forgotten my wallet at home. I certainly didn't want to drive back to Santa Cruz to retrieve it but I had no I.D. and no credit cards with me to check in. The front desk manager over heard me explaining to the staff member at the counter my situation. She intervened and took me aside to assist me. She could not have been more gracious. She used other means to confirm my identity and since my credit card was already on my reservation was able to use it to check me in. I regret not getting her name but as I recall it was Laurie or Laura. Whatever executive hired her for her position made a good decision. What could have been a major hassle for me was solved expeditiously. The rest of my stay went very well also but it was the front desk manager that made it a memorable stay. "I forgot my wallet" is such a cliche but in my case all too true. Thank you so much to the Hyatt manager who kept it from becoming a nightmare.

Great Hotel Convenient to SFO and Beyond We are locals, but stayed at this Hyatt Regency in advance of an early morning flight from SFO for the sake of taking the morning commute out of the equation in making our flight. We had a terrific stay and would happily return again, and highly recommend it to you. In particular, the service from every person we encountered was outstanding. A few specific thoughts: On arrival, the front desk agent recognized my Globalist status and let me know they’d upgraded us to a very nice suite. Excellent, friendly, prompt service. The location of this hotel is terrific - very close to SFO, but also close to Silicon Valley, and a short ride into San Francisco. There is a free hotel shuttle that is super easy - it runs every 15 minutes. On our day of departure, I started by stopwatch when we went down to the front entrance to wait. The bus arrived quickly, and we were off to the airport. I stopped my stopwatch after we made it through (PreCheck) security at the airport, and it was 24 minutes. You might wait a bit longer than we did, but my point is that the entire process is both efficient and friendly. At the restaurant, we found both the service and the menu options to be terrific. Of particular note, they have a surprisingly good selection of wines - much more than the usual airport hotel selection of grocery store wines. For those of you reading reviews from people who are confused about whether this is attached to the airport, that is 100% user error. They literally have different names, and the hotel description clearly states that it’s “near” SFO. We have now stayed at both hotels, and both are very convenient to the airport. Finally, there’s actually a pretty nice walkway along the waterfront if you choose to get out and walk around. It offers a great view of arriving and departing flights at the airport. Overall, we had a great stay, and will happily return in the future.

NA I already gave my review what else would you like me to say. Cleaner rooms please shower enclosure not cleaned, carpet needs vacuuming and very noisy courtyard with those dancing competitions with their shouting laughing making a playground in the hallways at all hours of the night. No security to shut them up!!!!

NOT the Grand Hyatt at SFO Check the address carefully. The Hyatt Regency at San Francisco Airport is NOT actually the Hyatt property on site at San Francisco Airport. Don't be fooled by a deliberately misleading name. The airport hotel is the Grand Hyatt SFO. The Hyatt Regency at San Francisco Airport is actually a few miles away. It is not on the SFO AirTrain and it is not on the grounds of the airport.

Hospitality At Best. First time for me & my wife in this hotel. To this effect, first impression is important. We were recieved by VIK at the check in. He knew the meaning of hospitality and excelled at it (knowledgeable, attentive, and a very pleasant personality). Our stay was one of the best in recent years... recipiention, room, food, ... etc. We will definitely be back here.
