Not worth the cost I've read a lot of hype about the remodel of this hotel but don't understand why, unless you're willing to overspend on a lakeview room. The regular room and hallway decor are dark and gloomy -- in the room, even the sheer curtains were black, making the outdoors look cloudy and grey even when it was sunny! The website lists room service under dining, but there wasn't any. The "cafe" is more like a Starbucks counter but without the branding. I had a much better stay on a previous trip at the nearby Courtyard Burlington Harbor.

Too many hotel problems to enjoy our visit We travel to Burlington 2 or 3 times a year because our daughter is a college student there. We've chosen this hotel more times than others in the past because the parking convenience and proximity to Lake Champlain offset the dated, dark rooms and tiny bathrooms. Before we arrived this trip I replied to the hotel’s welcome text that we needed extra pillows, but got no response. Then I submitted the request in the chat function of the Hilton app. Got no reply. We always self-park at this hotel, and we were disappointed to find dozens of parking spaces where we typically park blocked off. The Hilton rep at the front desk told me that she did not know why the spaces were unavailable. The next morning a city employee told me the spaces were blocked to clean the garage floor. How is it that a Curio Collection hotel doesn't have that information about its adjoining garage ready to warn arriving customers? The drain in our bathroom sink was clogged and slow draining. Our hot water was interrupted for half an hour one morning. Several times when we tried to use an elevator we had to push the call buttons constantly to call the elevator to our floor. The morning we departed, we got on the elevator after waiting 5-7 minutes for it to respond and we had to push buttons repeatedly before the elevator started down. It started down and immediately stopped. We had to push and hold buttons before it started moving again. Our previous stay at Hotel Champlain in May 2024 was marred by a bathroom shower drain that backed up. And we could not turn on a wash basin light at any time until we pushed a reset button on an electric plug above the sink first. Looking back now, this seems to be a recurring pattern of problems. We’ve watched Hilton make many attractive cosmetic upgrades to the common areas of the hotel the past couple of years but we wonder if it has sacrificed other aspects of hospitality.

Peaceful Stay I love to visit the area, the lake, the food, the schools, and peaceful. We were in town for a lacrosse game and stayed with our friends. The hotel was under construction and made for a bit of a mess, no food to speak of. Rms are definitely dated, and I believe the change will be great. Parking was easy. Walking to some local eateries is convenient. Price was a bit high, comparably without a view or upgrade. Not a bad stay but I've had better with the Hilton brand.

Exceptional This was our first time since this hotel upgraded from Hilton to a Curio Collection facility. Way back, it used to be a Radisson, but life goes on! The upgrade is evident throughout the facility. A great space if you are in Burlington and want to be on the waterfront. Very convenient location, and would recommend it strongly. Our room was smaller than what we are accustomed to, but that did not distract from the overall experience. Very comfortable bed, and nice features. Our only observation is the brightness of all lighting - tends to be toned down, especially in the bath room. And there is no clock. That was a first! Coffee and complimentary beverages are available on every floor. And, while not having an opportunity to try it out, the restaurant in the lobby is very highly recommended - run by one of the premier chefs in the state. The best place to stay in Burlington.

Needs updated rooms Great view but hotel rooms are very dark and there was mold covered up by heavy drapes near the bathroom. And that was in a premium room! Also, the cafe had a long line every morning and the hotel did not know how to manage. Great location but needs room renovation and better management
