Room Booked our king room 6 months out for our trip to Vermont and hotel over booked and did not notify us they would be able to provide us the room we paid for. Supervisor would not do anything to make this right for us. Supervisor told me to speak to the manager next day

Wonderful hotel that pays attention to details We stayed in the Hotel Vermont for just one night and my only complaint is that I wish we'd stayed longer! From the moment of our arrival the staff were courteous and helpful. They made a point of letting us know that the desk is staffed 24 hours and to contact them if we had issues. The room was terrific -- clean and comfortable with a gorgeous view of Lake Champlain. The built in furniture is brilliant and I want it in my house. The dual sinks (one in the shower room and one in the toilet room) are appreciated. We also really liked the coffee station on our floor, and all the little touches in the room from regional books to substantial coffee mugs to the working radio (checked out 90.1 the college station!) We ate breakfast at the bar the next day and staff there were also courteous and attentive. The menu was not large or super inventive, but everything we had (oatmeal, potatoes, pancakes, and toast with jam) was fresh and delicious. Truly one of the best hotel stays I have enjoyed in years!

Lovely hotel, but could be better for the price. I love how this hotel used local artisans to create special items throughout the hotel and each of the rooms. I felt the room rates were quite high given how tired the rooms looked and the lack of amenities. Not even a shower cap or vanity kit in the bathroom. When I asked housekeeping they told me I had to go to the front desk??? Ate breakfast the first morning in the restaurant and it was average. The second morning we walked to August First, a local favorite, and it was great. We did have dinner at Juniper one night, which is located in the hotel. That was a great meal.

Fantastic first visit to Burlington! I have probably never stayed in a hotel that anticipated the guest's needs as this one did. The room was very comfortable. It included two sinks, a large walk in shower as well as a comfortable chair and ottoman. The breakfast was delicious. The bar was fun. Our hallway featured a coffee maker that made everything from coffee to cappuccino. Next to it was a water dispenser that featured cold sparkling water. In light of the heatwave that we brought to Vermont, the water was incredibly welcome. The hotel is ideally situated near beautiful Lake Champlain. I hope to return some day.

Hip hotel but mobility impairment issues Wonderful urban boutique hotel in Burlington VT. It is less than 1 block from the waterfront and is 2 blocks from the main shopping district. It is very comfortable I would have given it 5 stars but one of us is mobility impaired and that proved to be a problem. I'd asked for an accessible room-we were first given a room with a no-barrier shower but it lacked grab bars for the toilet. The staff was very accommodating and moved us to a room with grab bars for the toilet but that room had a bathtub not a no-barrier shower and the beds were elevated so high that it was not possible for the mobility impaired person to get into bed. Clearer communication between our needs and their physical layout would help.
