Step back to the 70s I’m an Exploria owner, and have been traveling to this resort for the last 5 or 6 years. It’s an old resort that is undergoing renovations. Stay away until 2030 when they might be complete. Usually the place has an excellent staff to make up for the dirty(maggots on the floor)/damaged rooms but not so much this year. I had to go a mile down the road away from the resort to check in with some random company because I bought a 7 day marketing package. I also booked a separate condo for a couple of days with my expo points. I asked if we could stay in the renovated condo because it was clean and much nicer but the staff member at the front desk was rude and told me I needed to “get out” because everything was booked. Then she said well your ownership is in Orlando so she couldn’t do anything. There was almost no one in tree tops. I’m stuck in this timeshare scheme, but at least I can tell everyone I know to not buy with Exploria.

The best place I been too so far I really enjoyed my stay here at the poconos and if I have the chance to stay more days I would have. But I plan to visit every year with my family. Highly recommended _

Nice Units Property maintenance need to be improved. While the rooms were nice; The service was poor. They were more interested in us upgrading our timeshare to Expos from weeks. After they got what they wanted, the communication was poor. I tried to leave a suggestion for improvement but was told I could leave a message on the manager's phone. I was not given a return call and there was no suggestion box. Two of the 4 pools were closed, this left the open pools crowded. The gym was closed. The mini golf area was unkept and unattended; this included the basketball courts and swings. Therefore, there were leaves everywhere and sigs of the Gazebo and swing starting to deteriorate. When we arrived at the unit, the roof was leaking. They found us another unit close by, however, we later discovered that there were no additional sheets or pillows. We had to drive back to the check in area at 12:45 am, because we were told that they could not deliver the extra bedding. The main entrance to Fairways and the secondary entrance is not well lit. You cannot see the driveway entrance into the exit. The entrance close to the zipline is the worst, there is absolutely no lighting and no reflectors to show where the road begins so it is hard to enter at night from the main road. I tried to leave a suggestion with the front desk that they should add reflectors to both sides of the driveway entrance or have some sort of lighting, however I was told I would receive an email from the resort. I did not.

Extrememly disappointed, old units are awful We were told the resort was under renovation, but the construction was not an issue. Of the 600 units on property, only 300 are available for use. 140 are renovated and they are reserved for their owners. Everyone else gets stuck in the 160 units that are OLD and not maintained. There was rotted wood all around the doorways, weeds in the walkways, the unit is damp and musty ....in our two bedroom, the two sliding glass doors in the bedrooms didn't slide correctly and couldn't be locked. The safety chain on the front door was missing, the toilet ran all night long, the ice machine didn't work .... Only 2 pools are open, the rest are closed. The golf course was decent, they had horsebacking riding and paintball that we didn't use ....as of crafts and organized activities, they only stuff scheduled on Sat and Sun, nothing planned during the week. We used a lot of points to go here for a 5 night stay and it was so bad, we left early.

Not good for families with young children Be aware that many activities and facilities are not open at this time including for kids and that some of the units are unsafe for small children. Those 2 bedroom units with sleeping lofts have a very steep and narrow spiral staircase that is treacherous for anyone including toddlers and then at the top it does not have a railing connection to the balcony, leaving an open area a small child could easily fall through. One of the twin beds up there is pushed against the low partial wall, again making a potential fall to the floor below very easy. The other 2 bedroom units are safer but do not have twin beds and we were told there is no availability for youth beds or cribs. Our daughter and her youngster had to sleep together in that full sized bed - not optimal for a good night's sleep. Many buildings are heavily coated with mildew and the grounds around entrances are shabby and unkempt. Other buildings are more attractive but from what we saw they all need attention. However, the beds were comfortable in our unit and the living areas were clean and attractive. Two of the four pools were closed but the open ones at the activity center were very good and we enjoyed them. The toddler pool there was also very good. A shuttle bus is convenient - when running. It became an issue that it did not run on Monday during our stay. The playground is very basic - a much better one exists in town not far away. The adult horseback riding activity was very good.
