Family fun for all generations to enjoy together. We have been coming to Villa Roma for many years. It's a great family vacation. It can use a little TLC since it has been around for a while, but we come for the families and for the regular staff who have been a part of Villa Roma for many years. It is the people that make our vacation so enjoyable. We love spending our days by the pool and one of our favorite staff members is Sue, the head lifeguard. She has been a regular there for many years and is still such a positive reflection of Villa Roma. It is so refreshing to see someone who loves what she does. She is always quick to greet you each morning with a smile and kind words. She is always kind, helpful and a pleasure to speak to. Sue makes each guest feel welcome and we know our little ones are safe because of her professionalism and keen eye. Her staff follows suit because of her care and guidance. Sue also ran water aerobic classes at Villa Roma in the past, which were so much fun and brought the guests together. We hope to have them back in the future. Doc, Joy, Katrina, Steve and the amazing entertainment crew also add so much to our positive vacation experience. They are also amazing. They always have so many fun activities like duck races, turtle races, games, etc. for all the generations to enjoy together...from babies to great-grandparents!...and the weekly honor for our veterans, police officers, firemen/women, teachers and other heroes that Doc and Joy set up is truly beautiful and so patriotic. We love it. Thank you, Villa Roma for putting families first.

Villa Roma Resort a Horrible Experience and a DUMP!!! I exchanged into this resort using Interval International timeshare for a one bedroom / full kitchen unit sleeping 4 and the unit assigned was 625. I arrived on 7/21 and the timeshare office is not located in the main hotel. There is a separate location to sign in at the sign in timeshare office. Upon checking in I was told that the INDOOR POOL is only open when there is inclement weather(Rain) otherwise it is always closed. WHY!!! The resort does not mention this anywhere on their website or on the II certificate. I have 2 small children that are sun sensitive as I am sure other families do as well so now what do you do. There reply was SORRY. They assigned me a room 769 in what looked like an ARMY barrack in the woods with no elevator. My wife is disabled so I asked to have my room changed. The reply was we will see if there is any availability elsewhere as we are sold out. I stated that I was suppose to get room 625 in the main hotel according to the II certificate and the reply is that room is not available. I asked why no reply. The unit they assigned 769 was retro 1970. The beds were old, the kitchen at best was nearly ok, the rugs were old and smelly, there bathroom was small with a walk in tub and the sheets and blankets were also old. The sofa and chairs in the living area were old and shabby. Nothing at all was new or remotely updated. Finally they agreed to give me a room in the main hotel room 636. The walk was so long from the elevator to the room and I was told this when the reassigned me to that room. So again no concern that my wife was disabled. I went to look at the room and OMG it was the same as the first room 769. OLD and ANTIQUATED. I saw the cleaning service women Crystal and asked her if all the rooms were like this and she stated no the rooms from 620 to 630 were renovated and all is new in those rooms. Well if I had gotten my original room 625 all would have been fine except for the indoor poll issue. The resort personnel in the timeshare portion of the resort is not customer friendly and does not really try to help out the vacationer in any way. Needless to say with my wife upset & crying and my 2 kids as well we decided not to stay and I went back to return the forms I filled out. When I told the personnel I was leaving there reply was OK. No concern as to what transpired or even offer me to possibly move to another unit in a day or so when one may have been available. NO just OK BYE!! So 3 hours drive there another 3 hours home and no vacation. Thank VILLA ROMA for your uncaring and inexcusable attitude to helping out a family on vacation. My advise to anyone is STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS RESORT. It seems all they care about is MONEY and not the people that arrive at the resort.

Perfect Family Getaway!!! I stayed at Villa Roma for two nights with my husband and our 5 y.o. son. It was THE PERFECT family getaway. There was plenty to do at the resort. Our son especially loved the pools, go-karts and bounce houses! Staff was very friendly and food was great!

Pleasantly surprised So I have to say first off that the resort is outdated - it really needs some upgrading - but it certainly made us feel like we were in a time warp - like we were back in time at a "Dirty Dancing" Catskills resort. We read the reviews before going, after signing up via a Time share app - so we knew there were comments made before arriving re: the resort being older etc. However, we were pleasantly surprised at the accommodations once we moved into our condo. Yes it was a little musty but the rooms were larger than expected - with a full kitchen, large living room area included - with outside patio etc. The thing that stood out to us overall, was the people - and the families that have been coming to this resort for over 40 years, and they couldn't have been more friendly and helpful and they made us feel a part of the Villa Roma family as new comers - especially those that come every year on Week 26!!! We thank you all for that and making our week so much fun. It has whatever you need at the resort - pools, games, activities - though they could use a grocery store on site - but the town of Callicoon and/or Jeffersonville is very close by - Entertainment is going on constantly - with DJ's, comedians, and bands playing in the evenings. I have to give "kudo"s to a few staff members - Cheryl in the dining room was very helpful, along with Andrea the waitress. And the food was amazing the night we dined there. Savannah in the Roman Cafe was handling things on her own - and she was amazing considering they were short staffed ! And Carrie in the bar upstairs was the best bartender!!! Overall I would consider staying at the Villa Roma again - but just know - its not a Hilton, or a Marriott - you have to make your own fun - and go with the flow....

Somewhat disappointed. I did have a really nice time. I just had a couple of concerns that may prevent me from visiting again. We had planned on spending 4 nights there, but cut our stay short one day. There were activities that were included on their website that they did not have. No horses. The pond was emptied and being refilled, so no fishing. And the walking trails were non existent. What did make the stay enjoyable was the delicious meals that were served in the main dining room and the staff were always friendly and helpful. My suggestion would be to call ahead and confirm what activities you are interested in to make sure they are available. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
