Bella Capri Inn

Charming, Clean, Comfortable! We loved our stay here! Had to stay in or near Camarillo, as we were primarily here to visit a friend - scoured reviews of all hotels/motels in the area. (Reviews do enter into my decisions) Charming street, charming hotel. Inviting lobby and super friendly and helpful reception lady. Parking inside the courtyard and outside on the street - always easy to park! Even when we returned from the Bowl late at night, and the area feels quite SAFE. We had one of the smaller rooms, but it was perfectly fine! We had a refrigerator and a microwave and a coffeemaker. Coffee was provided, but I drove to Starbucks close by, coz - well....Starbucks lol : ) Bathroom tiny but CLEAN! Every inch of our room AND the hotel is CLEAN and neat. VERY important to us. Very responsive staff here too. Bed was comfy, sheets were nice and soft, plenty of pillows. TV went in and out, but no problem, coz there is free Wifi and we watched our iPad. One morning we got up at 430 for an early appointment, and the water in the shower would not heat, and maybe it was because it's a vintage hotel and it takes a while for the water to heat - anyhow, there's an emergency number, we called it - and voila! Hot water soon after. Shower had great pressure, very comfortable, and we liked the soaps etc provided. Very nice restaurant on the ground level - had breakfast there twice. Pancakes and bacon YUMMMM! Marc, manager, very very nice and helpful. Everyone here was great. We will return, and maybe get one of the suites. Highly recommend!!!

A quaint stay in Camarillo Visiting family in the area we decided to try Bella Capri as it was conveniently located in Old Town. We enjoyed walking the area and the Saturday morning Farmer's Market. This hotel is clean. However, it would not pass newer building codes. The treads on the staircase were very difficult to navigate. The room was very small and offered very few places to set your items. The water temperature approached scalding. Parking is challenging but we were able to park in the courtyard area each night. A limited breakfast is offered at the nearby cafe. It was a bit noisy on Saturday night as our room faced the main street. We found the staff to be friendly. They do adhere to a strict check-in time and didn't deviate when we arrive @ 15 minutes early.

Give this a try! The first time I stayed at the Bella Capri was in 2012. I then stayed here in 2014, 2022 and in 2023. I also really like the Hampton Inn. I neeed to come here a couople weeks ago, and chose this over the Hampton for the whole week because it's 100 dollars cheaper, I don't need to pay for parking and I still get breakfast. The bathrooms are small and outdated, but the rooms are so clean and the linens nice and fresh. If you pay the upcharge of about $12, then you can have breakfast next door at the Old Town Cafe - everything is cooked to order. When I stayed earlier this month, there was a little issue with one of the guests who was shouting at his friend in the room at 130 AM, but this is not common for the property at all, and they addressed it immediately. Also since you're on Ventura Boulevard, you are right next to a good pizza place, ice cream and Cafe Ficelli (though that is expensive). I love the staff at Bella Capris as well as at Old Town Cafe. However, do make sure you book with the property and NOT booking.com or hotels.com. I do feel like coffee in the lobby would be great since there is a lovely patio in the front though:).

Good, but my room was a bit small and tired Cute motel. Quiet. The room was a bit small and tired, but it felt clean which is by far the most important. Nice and efficient check-in. Easy parking in their parking lot in the afternoon, but the parking lot did get full during the evening. I was told roadside parking is possible. About a 20 minute easy walk to grocery stores and fast food chain restaurants. Many other restaurants in the area. Wifi worked well for watching streaming content.

Do yourself a favor and stay here! This Inn was an extremely high level of surprise! The check in process was fast, polite! The room I had was small, but one of the cleanest I have seen. The shower is small, but again, clean and more than adequate. They have a strict "quiet" time at nights and it showed, as I barely heard a thing in the 4 nights I stayed. There is a small cafe right next door, that had an amazing breakfast! When I go back, there is no other place I will consider staying. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars, is only because I do not give anything a perfect rating! But it was darn close!
