Fireside Inn on Moonstone Beach

Lovely little place right next to the beach Great little hotel right next to the beach. Rooms are well kept and recently renovated in a modern light style. Cozy with a nice fireplace. Just next to the board walk for some fresh air and restaurants nearby. Staff generally very good - one person on reception was quite rude, but all others very nice so will just ignore her less than welcoming approach.

Cambria Oh my.... Had a wonderful stay. The room was impeccable and way beyond expectations. Will definitely visit again. We didn't have a chance to get to the pool, but it was warm, clean, and very cute with the lights. I would definitely recommend this place.

The Perfect Place Accommodations and location of this facility combine to make it the perfect place to experience the majestic Big Sur coastline. The price of my stay was surprising reasonable considering its location right on the beach. If you’re going to Cambria stay at the Fireside Inn.

Lovely quaint property This was my first time visiting Cambria, and I really loved the quiet strip of beach that Fireside is located on. I had a hard time choosing which hotel to stay in as there seems to be a lot of similarity. As for Fireside, I had a really nice, relaxing stay and it provided everything I needed (this was originally planned as a couple's trip but my partner couldn't join so it was solo.) More specifically, Positives: Large, clean, updated rooms including the bathrooms. Location toward the end of the strip of hotels made it feel a bit more peaceful and access to the beach was via direct boardwalk. Great beds and quality linens. Refrigerators in room to chill wine and keep snacks. Fireplaces in rooms is a cute touch, but does not dramatically improve the quality/quaintness of the room. Outdoor patios from some rooms are nice, but all sit directly next to the parking lot so it's not a place where you would spend a lot of time unless you got one of the end units facing the water. Those are fantastic. Cons: Hotel was very quiet but walls are very thin so it could be an issue if you had noisy neighbors. Because this is a traditional motel layout, cars directly face your room, which diminishes privacy. Unlike some of the other hotels along that strip, there is no common space facing the water which would be a nice addition for relaxing to watch the sunset. Heated pool is a nice option, but note that it is in the back of the property near the highway. No amentities like robes, slippers or free water.

Our favorite Cambria hideaway Kind service, nice rooms and beautiful views. The partnership with a local restaurant is a nice touch. This is a small town with limited accommodations. In my opinion this is one of, if not the nicest lodgings in town. Because of the attention to detail, the proximity to restaurants and the views. This is the only place I stay when I visit.
