Terrible for business travelers Zero dining at the hotel is open & available. I understand COVID shut them down, but the rest of the city is open except this hotel! Starbucks closed. club lounge closed, hotel bar closed, nothing. Makes this property not worth the &&&, especially for business travelers who do not like to venture out after a long day of work and travel.

Little Things Make a Big Difference Overall, our one week stay was very comfortable. We chose this location because it is located in Cambridge and it worked out great for our visit to the universities and Boston. The Red Line for the subway is right outside the back door so that was super convenient. And the Red LIne will get you to most places that you will want to go in downtown Boston. There are also a few restaurants within walking distance. MIT is just around the corner. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our double room was comfortable for the three of us. We had a great view of the Charles River. I appreciated the refrigerator and safe. The room was clean. The beds are comfortable. So what would have made this room better? A couple things would have improved our stay. First, the sliding bathroom door was mildly annoying. It was kinda hard to open so you have to use some strength. But before you do that you need to make sure no one is standing in front of the closet because the door can easily slide right into them. And believe me, that hurts. Second, for a room that is supposed to accommodate up to 4 people, we often wished that the bathroom had a few more hooks or towel bars. It only had two hooks and one towel bar which was not enough for three people who are each using bath towels and wash clothes. Not to mention some items of hand washed clothing items. A hook or bar near the sink area, against the blank wall across from the bathtub, or above the toilet would have helped a lot.

The worst. Terrible services. Avoid at all costs. No hotel parking. Public next door. No in and out. $42 for 3 hrs. Absolutely no food service of any kind. Just stay away. Try any other hotel in Cambridge. This is a good location but bad hotel. Marriott should be ashamed.

Room 1523, limited services We stayed for 5 nights in room 1523. There are limited services available currently, no maid service, no restaurants open, no lounge access and no room service. The Starbucks across the lobby was closed as well. We are platinum members and the welcome gift was supposed to be a breakfast certificate and lounge access. We were offered points instead, which became the only option with all the other amenities that were closed. I developed an unusual reaction to the bedding. I woke the first morning with massive hives on my arms, legs and back. I asked the hotel for soap to use in the guest laundry and was provided with packets of hypoallergenic laundry detergent. It cost $5 for washing the sheets and my blanket (which took using both of the washers and dryers), and an additional $5 for drying the sheets. So it cost me $20 to wash and dry the sheets to keep from getting more hives. We missed using the laundry the first night as we didn't get back to the room until after 9 PM that night and the machines wouldn't take the credit card at that time. Guest laundry stops at 9 PM. I had to wash the sheets the next day and had to include the travel blanket that I bring on all my trips because I slept wrapped up in that blanket that night to try to avoid touching the sheets. I mentioned the problem to the front desk each day we were there and was not offered any accommodation or repayment for the expense of laundering their sheets. The room is in the middle of the hallway with a nice corner window with a view to the north/east. The room has a pullout couch and a king size bed. The bath has a nice feature of undercabinet lighting that comes on automatically when you enter the room in the night to act as a night light. The bed had power outlets in each night stand and a decent reading light on each side. There was a small mini-fridge and coffee machine in the cabinet next to the desk. The desk was small but adequate. The bathroom door also acts as a closet door for the hanging storage area. The door is a bit hard to slide and you have to put some muscle into getting it started. There was one larger drawer in that area and 2 small drawers in the desk. There is a tall narrow cabinet in the bath that held the ironing board and iron. The room was quiet but I did notice that I could hear my husband using the hair dryer from 4 rooms down in the hallway. Until the COVID restrictions change, I will be likely to pick one of the other Marriott properties in the area.

Between the COVID restrictions and construction, not a good choice I like to stay at Marriott's for the M-Club. Sorry, closed here. OK, I'll go to one of the restaurants --- sorry closed. Well, maybe I'll try the pool. Sorry, don't have one. Oh well, rooms were nice and modern, and clean. Staff was nice. Location good especially with the red line within steps of the front door. A number off decent restaurants nearby as well, like Dunkin a block away. Lots of construction going on, not sure how long that will last. So i rate it average because at this point it's certainly no more
