Sean is a HERO!!! We were diverted to Boston from New York and had a nightmare experience at the airport, finally getting our bags and leaving at 3:30am. With nowhere to go and a 27 weeks pregnant wife, we called the hotel hoping for a last minute reservation. Sean, the overnight front desk person, was our hero. He took our call and immediately sprung into action, getting us a room when nobody else (and we called over a dozen hotels!!!) had one, checking us in quickly, making sure we had everything we needed and setting us up with a plan to get breakfast before our flight home. Everyone at the hotel was exceptional and the room was excellent (for the four hours we stayed in it), but Sean was truly an angel and provided unbelievably excellent service on a night where everything else went wrong. He even provided us with an absolutely fair and normal room rate when, with 35+ flights diverted to Logan and people stuck sleeping at the airport, he could have taken advantage. What a gentleman.

Great stay at the Marlowe We stayed for two nights and while I would have given it a 5 star review, the beds were pretty soft and left my back sore in the morning. Other than that, it was a fantastic stay. We were traveling with teen and preteen kids and stayed on the top floor. There were lots of rooms occupied but we did not hear anyone the whole stay from inside our room. We used the complimentary kayaks in the morning and enjoyed kayaking on the Charles. They also had free bikes but we did not use those. We did play the outdoor games in the courtyard. My husband and I enjoyed wine hour from 5-6 each night and used our food credit for breakfast at the restaurant which was excellent. The staff was awesome as well.

Great middle of the night accommodation Kimpton is my favorite chain for a reason. Top notch service always - even when accommodating us at 3 am due to a flight cancelation. Food was excellent in the morning, even on only four hours of sleep. Very comfortable bed and blinds help with the sun that always comes up far too early in Boston.

The best hotel in Cambridge This hotel is amazing. From the moment you enter the courtyard, you are surrounded by friendly staff and gorgeous decor. We had a long day of travel but the check in staff took care of us quickly and had us in our room in a flash. We had a mini suite overlooking the water and it was perfect. It had windows on two walls, comfortable seating, and a luxurious bed. The bathroom was spacious with yummy toiletries. Lots of walkable sites and super easy to get a Lyft. They have bikes and paddle boards you can borrow, too. We had snacks late one evening in the restaurant and they were delicious. We took advantage of the wine hour every night in the lobby. They served some really good wines accompanied by unique starters from the restaurant. It was perfect after spending the day in record breaking heat in Boston. I can't imagine ever staying anyplace else in Boston or Cambridge.

By far the best hotel in the area! Really awesome experience! I stayed here for a work event and everyone was amazing. Matthew at the front desk was the best, I had to call in advance to get help with my reservation, and he was super helpful both over the phone and when I arrived in person to check-in. The housekeeping staff was also super friendly and even came back to clean my room late in the day when they noticed I removed the door sign later than usual (unfortunately I didn’t catch the woman’s name who helped me, though). A lot of our team stayed at different hotels, and they had mixed experiences, so I’m glad I was at the Kimpton this time and definitely would stay there again. I’ve also stayed at the Sonesta nearby and it definitely doesn’t compare to the amenities and service here. Highly recommend over any of the other nearby hotels!!
