Golden Parnassus All Inclusive Resort & Spa - Adults Only

Dump! All the negative reviews are accurate except they were being too nice. No working elevator, no working A/C in the room, worst food we've encountered in Mexico. No exaggeration - DON"T DO IT! We thought it was just our room without working AC but after speaking with other guests, no one was happy and were regretful for not taking the reviews seriously - much like us.

Don't waste your money DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! First let me premise that we are return visitors. First visit was March 2018. Everything was great then. Our first room was overlooking the roof of solar panels. We asked to be moved. We were moved to the first floor. The air conditioning never got below 27celcius, (80 degrees) THE WHOLE WEEK!!!! We asked for them to come look at the AC. They never did. We slept on top of the blankets all week. It was too hot. They just write everything on a notepad. That means nothing. We tried to call house keeping because we didn't have enough towels, no one ever answered. Went to the desk to ask for towels, none were ever brought. The next morning I left a simple note on top of the bed asking for towels and wash cloths. That request was accommodated. The restaurants.... They stare they have five restaurants. That includes the buffet. However they only have two restaurants open at any one time for dinner. Shangri-la looks permanently closed. Nowhere is that stated. The ribeye in Old Barn...is mystery meat...not a ribeye. On our first visit to Pier 21 the hostess stated that you should probably wait 30-40 minutes for an outside table because it was so hot inside. That only took 15 minutes. The second visit we were sat immediately. It's sad to say that this once great little resort had gone downhill. Not into disrepair, but it definitely needs some TLC.. Someone said that the owner died and the daughter has taken it over. The fountain in the atrium wasn't working. The pool area needs some upkeep. The coolest area in the entire resort was the giftshop. We met a lot of folks who like us had made return trips there, some had been there 10-12 times and had same issues. They even went off site for dinner. OH and if you're on the 6th floor...you can't call the elevator. You have to send someone down to 5, take the elevator up to 6 and then down. Not a big deal if you think of it. Could be a PITA with luggage. Oscar in the Paradise buffet and Edith our pool waitress were great!!!

Don’t say you weren’t warned!!!!HORRIBLE!!!!!!! Warning!!!!! Do not stay here!!! I am not even going to waste my time writing details bc it was so horrible. Front desk people were not nice at all. We actually checked out a night early and were told we would get a refund for the last night. That was in May, haven’t seen the refund yet. I have reached out to them almost daily and no one has helped. I did NOT give them a low score bc of the money. It was honestly disgusting. The resort, pool, rooms, food etc. do your research, so many resorts in same price range are more desirable!!! If you are staying here to go to the dentist across the street , the dentist office will pick you up anywhere in the hotel zone. HORRIBLE!!!!

Oscar is A+++ Oscar is the absolute best!! He is always so happy to see everyone. He takes such good care of my wife, and I when we come to visit. He greets us with a smile, and is the first to ask us how we’re going, and if we need anything. We will continue to come to the Golden Parnassus because of the people! Cheers to Oscar and the whole GP team! Thank you for always taking such good care of us.

Awesome Staff (*Gloria & Eliseo*)/ You Will Feel at Home If you are picky about wear & tear, and want a perfect room to spend time in then book elsewhere. If you are there to have fun, spend time outside, be on a perfect almost personal at times beach... This is your place. I stayed here for 7 days, and the staff are absolutely amazing! Shout out to Gloria and Eliseo <3 Both were extremely hospitable, and friendly. I had dental surgery, and a few times they cooked food for me that I brought, and brought it to my room. My glass was never empty with Eliseo tending. I had alot of fun with him in The Sixties Bar. Great atmosphere! They definitely made me feel comfortable, and I will be returning. Keep in mind; the heat brings the mustiness. It's just the climate. This isn't some big fancy resort. The people make it worthwhile. Not all the restaurants are open; they rotate. There are minor things like air conditioning only in the rooms, and you can tell it's being over run, and one of the elevators is broke. All businesses are taking hits nowadays. Don't forget to tip. Yes it's all inclusive, but many of the servers & bartenders live on tips. You will definitely have fun!
