Great family stay We had a fantastic stay here after a few nights of camping. We were greeted with iced tea and lemon water, as well as cookies. It was so nice! All the staff were very helpful and friendly. Check in was easy, room was clean. Loved using the Rocky Mountain Soap products in the shower. We had our dog so we got a main floor room, but still had views of the mountains from our patio space. They had a lovely dog bed out for our dog, as well as a new toy. So sweet. Visited the pool, it was good. A bit busy, but it was so hot out so I can see why. Breakfast was included and tasty, but also so busy. I think any post pandemic travel will feel this way for a while. All in all we had a great stay!

Amazing service The Pocaterra Inn was fantastic. Anna went above and beyond, was so patient and friendly helping us rebook, upgrade, and add on dates. Everyone we met was extremely helpful and friendly. Our stay was the best experience we've had in a long time. The room and bed were comfortable and clean and we are so happy to have found this pet friendly location. We'll definitely be back again and highly recommend the Pocaterra Inn.

Great Choice We only spent one night here but really enjoyed our stay even with COVID limitations. The room was clean and modern with a fireplace (which we didn't need with outdoor temps being about 34 C). But we really liked the small balcony once the sun went down....it let you separate from the kids a bit and enjoy the fresh air and views while still being close by. The pool is large with a nice slide the kids love. The COVID limitations meant only 30 minutes in the pool area and we had to visit in shifts due to the numbers limitations. The hot tub was large and quite warm. The complimentary breakfast was on the simple side with omelet, sausage, and hash browns. There was no toast or bread but this may have been a COVID induces limitation on serving. Even though the train tracks are not that far away, I did not hear a train during the night which had been a bit of a concern. I would say the only negative is that there is one elevator and its slow. So with COVID limits it was always better to take the stairs other wise you were waiting quite a bit to go up and down. We would happily stay here again.

We had a Wonderful Stay Affordable rates (compared to others in the Canmore/Banff area) Clean comfortable rooms. We loved the wood/laminate floors rather than carpet, the beds were comfortable, and the pillows didn’t suck! Yay! Breakfast was great. One morning was very busy and staff got a bit behind, but with a little patience we all enjoyed a good selection. I was happy to see fresh fruit salad daily rather than the sad oranges and apples I usually see at these free hotel breakfasts. The option to sit outside to eat is nice too. Complimentary iced tea, water, and occasional cookies in the lobby is a nice treat. Kids spent hours in the pool. Ample parking. A couple minor notes - there is no clock in the room which is a bit annoying. I know everyone has a phone but being able to glance at the time is nice. There is only one elevator so it was often a long wait if you couldn’t take the stairs (not that they can do anything about this I guess). There are no chairs in the pool area for parent’s supervising kids. I’m not sure of this is pandemic related but it was annoying. I sat on a towel on the floor but a few chairs would’ve been nice. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel for a family vacation to the mountains.

We will definitely stay here again Husband, wife, 10 year old and 2 dogs stayed 3 nights. When we checked in there was fresh baked chocolate chip cookies for us and denta-sticks for the dogs. They keep all the pet friendly rooms on the main floor which makes it easier to take them out. Our room was clean. It had 2 comfortable queen size beds. There were 2 dog beds with a couple of toys and water/food dishes. It also had a mini fridge and microwave. We stayed here during Covid (scamdemic). A free breakfast was offered but in a different way. The dining room was open but the employees put what you wanted in a to go container. They offered hash browns, cheese omelet, bacon, sausage and waffles. They also had yogurt, apple and orange juice and coffee. There wasn’t any dry cereal. Once you had your food you took it back to your room to eat. The pool is only offered to one room/cohort at a time. They allow a 25 minute swim then you have to get out. That allows the staff to wipe down high touch surface areas in between families. Time slots start at 0700-2130. The day we arrived I wanted to book a time slot. We were told they were booked for the day already. The system is you come to the hotel lobby at 0630 to book your spot for that day. My husband was there at 0635 and the person in front of him took the last spot. Our 10 year old was incredibly disappointed. Like every family we haven’t been in a pool for over a year. The next day my husband was in line at 0530 and he already was the 10th person in-line. We did finally get to swim for our very short 25 minutes but it was one of the highlights of our daughter’s trip. We passed the incoming family as we were leaving. I made a comment that the time goes by way to fast. Their response was, “that’s why you have to book 2 rooms!” The family consisted of what I assume to be grandma, grandpa, mom, dad and 3 kids. So they booked 2-25 back to back sessions. They technically aren’t the same household cohort. This really made me angry. I know the hotel is trying their best to work with health guidelines but that family screwed a lot of other families. It would be nice if you could also give families at least one swim time if they stay a certain amount of nights. The hotel is walking distance to Tim Hortons, Wendy’s and McDonald’s which is great for families with young children. The hotel staff were fantastic. They really were doing the best they could during this scamdemic. Thanks for a wonderful stay and we will be back!
