Beautiful hotel in a little town We stayed at this beachside gem on our Oregon road trip and had a lovely time… Staff is friendly , susnsets are amazing and rooms were clean … Not luxury resort , however very good for teens and families. They offer nightly s’more’s and bonfires , ice cream tastings, fresh cookies , has a small indoor swimming pool… Overall very satisfied ..

Service, plus view, plus fun = AMAZING This resort is amazing. Fantastic views, updated, comfy, and spacious rooms. And the amenities. Kite concierge? What the heck? I had never heard of that before. I especially loved the s’mores bonfire. All I did was roast the marshmallow and eat!

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PROPERTY!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PROPERTY!!! This was our first time visiting Cannon Beach and this is the absolute BEST location! It's a 5 minute walk to Haystack Rock and a 5 minute walk to downtown . . . and you are RIGHT ON THE OCEAN!!!
We were in an NW ocean front view, 1-Bedroom Suite and it was absolutely stunning and so beautifully decorated (Suite 1201). The king bed and linens were high quality, the pull-out sofa was very comfortable, and the bathroom was amazing (soaker tub and huge walk in shower). Every detail was covered . . . water, coffee, tea & hot cocoa - along with a refrigerator, microwave and basic dishes. There were tons of storage, hooks, and cubbies to be able to "move in" and feel right at home. TVs in the living room, bathroom & bedroom were a nice touch (although who wants to watch TV when you can sit on the balcony and just soak up the view!!!). The balcony looked right out to the ocean and had 2 chairs and small table. The sunsets were incredible!!!
Additional great touches . . . nightly smores and bonfires right outside the hotel (even had a variety of candy bars to choose from - Reese's, Kit Kat & traditional Hershey's), and fresh cookies and a complimentary drink when you check-in. They also offer bikes (adult and kids) you can take out to explore town.
The service was amazing - everyone was very friendly and helpful! The remodeled resort was very clean, modern, and beachy!!!!
Until next summer, Surfsand Resort!!!

Wonderful place to stay! Great location with nice amenities and friendly staff! The bathtub was huge - you could stretch out full length! We enjoyed the pool and hot tub on a break from the surf and sand. Special thanks to Zach at the front desk and Spencer with the beach fires.

Friendly staff, not worth the price The friendly and cheerful staff was the best part of our stay. They also provide delicious cookies, community bonfires with free smores, ice cream socials, and other fun activities for the guests. The staff member who was lighting the fires was incredibly hardworking and very sweet (wish we had gotten his name). You can't beat the location being right on Cannon Beach. Parking is complimentary but can get crowded during the day times.
Unfortunately, as others have mentioned, we also found the resort to be poor value. The nightly rate is nearly the same as a 4-star hotel like Stephanie Inn (that's also right on Cannon Beach and far more worth the $$$$ in my opinion). You're paying luxury prices for a not so luxurious resort. Our room was a bit dank and musty, which is surprising given the rooms are all renovated. Unfortunately we noticed stains on the duvet cover. The sound insulation is not great as we heard constant loud footsteps above us late into the night. The curtains are not full blackout so light from the hallways and outside does seep in. So take ear plugs and an eye mask and ask for the top floor if you're a light sleeper. The bathroom needs some drawers and more counter space - there's barely room to put toiletries down. And both the shower and toilet pressure were quite weak. As for the pool, the smell of chlorine in the pool was way too overwhelming. Honestly wouldn't stay here again because the room itself has too many issues, but kudos to at least the cheerful staff.
