Absolutely don’t Immediate area very poor. Did not realize this until after we booked. The hotel is very outdated and everywhere smells like weed and must. There is no elevator and the room smelled terrible and felt incredibly damp. The bathtub in the shower is permanently filthy. There are clearly people who are living here on the first floor. This is not the type of place that you take your family for the weekend. This very much seems like a rent by the hour type of hotel. We were booked for 3 nights and left after 8 hours.

Weekly stay Nicely updated since I was here in 2007, staff is friendly and accommodating. No ATM or elevator. Has laundry available for guests and a work out room. Never noticed the outdoor grills which is neat.

Not Quality To begin, I am a fan of value hotels, have stayed in Quality Inns across the country, and have enjoyed the clean, basic rooms that I typically get. That is not what I experienced here. Upon arrival, the lobby was full while the staff were no where to be found. Took us about 20 minutes to get checked in, and the person at the desk told me nothing (not even my room number) when checked in. Further, he kept my drivers license, which I didn’t realize until after I got into my room . The lobby area was dirty, and the sheets had stains on them. The tv didn’t work and when I tried calling the front desk, the phone didn’t work. I went down, and the front desk person said, were really busy, and we’ll get to you soon. They didn’t. The “hot breakfast” was the most pitiful I’ve ever seen. The photos were about half an hour before breakfast ended. Several people came in, looked at the quantity of food, and said they were going elsewhere. Again, I enjoy value hotels, but this one severely missed the mark. Pay a little extra and stay somewhere else.

Choice Hotel failure No stars. Manager was rude, unprofessional, and lacking in any sort of human decency. Reservation was made and prepaid, yet at 3:55 am, we were told that while we were charged, our reservation was "automatically" rated as a no show. Sweet lady at the front desk, Patty, tried to make this right. However, it took over an hour for her manager to get us a room. In the am, housekeeping was equally as ignorant. Manager suggested our dog was not a service animal, and when I tried showing her his ID, she waved her hand at me! She said she could not give me a receipt, because technically we had never checked in??? Hotel reeked of marijuana. Parking lot was littered with trash. Comfort Suites, another Choice Hotel, is less than 1 mile away with comparable rates. Do yourself a favor and drive by.

If you want to stay in a dump this is the place The girl at the front desk was very friendly and helpful initially. There were air fresheners plugged into outlets in the hallway (This should have been a warning) When I opened the door to the room it had a very "funky" odor. VERY FUNKY! There was no tissue paper. We asked the girl to get us some tissue and she had to basically go into another guest room to obtain some tissue. She came to our room and said the odor smelled like a sweet minty odor. It smelled musty and moldy and overpowering She did not offer to move us another room in spite of the fact that there was not a single car in the lot indicating that there were plenty of rooms available at that time. It was my fault for not insisting on being moved. The trim around the bathtub was peeling away and the tub was a bit dirty. The wallpaper in the eating area was stapled down under the tv set. There were approx half a dozen shady characters hanging around in front and on the side of the hotel. Honestly I felt like cancelling the reservation before I even walked in. It gave the impression that this was some type of hangout. In fact when we came home there were men sitting in two cars in front of our room engaging in what appeared to be a drug deal. In the morning when we left there was another group of shady characters hanging out in front. Overall the best way to describe this hotel is that it is a DUMP. The first floor rooms are below the level of the sidewalk so if a car parks in front of your by backing in, the exhaust from the car comes right into your room The girls on the staff were friendly enough to get by but appeared to be a bit overwhelmed when presented with some of the issues.
