Quaint Convenience - New Renovations Started If you're rolling with trailers or bigger rigs, watch out for some limited rear parking this summer. It's immediately next to gas and a Culver's to not even go far. This hotel had a nice caring staff, and I'm sure they each individually care for the comfort of everyone. I think the personalization data practices used in some hotel chains, including this nice IHG one in Carbondale --- you're doing too much. A lot of what people do is conscientious and pragmatic. Still, I think you're doin too much. Perhaps the customer apps need some more opt-out options for data collection, or perhaps some disclosure on how much OTHER GUESTS could have their personal preferences tailored further, compared to my disdain for extra data collection. Some options are already available if you login I think. This is just a single person's opinion.

Long Stay - Great experience. Would definitely stay again. We stayed at this hotel almost 3 weeks due to a family emergency. The staff was exceptional and able to accommodate our ever changing departure date. Although not many services were available due to ongoing renovations, we had everything we needed. Definitely recommend.

Highly Recommended over Hampton Next Door I switched to this hotel after a terrible stay at the Hampton next door. My experience here was night and day - wonderful. The young lady at the front desk in the evenings (Asian) is warm, welcoming, attentive, and so friendly. The lobby and rooms are modern, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast could use a facelift; however, they are in their transition from a Holiday Inn to a HI Express so understandable and not as important to me. Recommended.

Won’t Return. False advertising. The hotel advertises that they have a restaurant and bar. Both closed. No warm breakfast. Have to stand in three inches of water while taking a shower as the water drains very slowly. Your shower quickly becomes a bath. Some ice machines not working. Not the cleanest HI that I’ve stayed in. I would not recommend nor return to this facility. This is the third time over the last three years that I have run into false advertising for a Holiday Inn (Express).

BEWARE! Unethical and unprofessional management and owner. Did not stay and management stated I was never charged when I was. Dishonest and deceptive management and owner. BEWARE! Booking.com Confirmation# 2465251703 August 14th - 15th, 2021
