Disappointed Booked this hotel June 2024, going to Carbondale for a wedding. Picked this hotel because they described a pool and fitness center on the choice site. We arrived at the hotel, was told by the manager the hotel does NOT have a pool or work out area. Every hotel in the area was full because of family weekend at Southern university. We were stuck staying here for 2 nights. They do have a pool and work out area, they just chose to close it. Paper over windows and doors locked in pool and work out area. After the first night had to change rooms, TV issues, sink and tub issues. The second room was better.

STAY ANYWHERE ELSE Worst hotel I've ever stayed in. The entryway, lobby, hallways, and rooms were unclean. Property wasn't secure and there wasn't someone at the front desk. Our room smelled of smoke even though it was a non-smoking room. Whatever you think you're saving, DONT STAY HERE. Pool was inoperable, even though it is shown online.

One of the worse Choices This place shouldn’t even be an option for Choice. The tub had hair in it. The tv remote was missing batteries. Room wasn’t the cleanest. All kinds of creepy people roaming around. Loud in the middle of the night. The hallway floor on the 2nd level is caving in. Very disappointing overall. I won’t stay here again.

There are better choices than Quality Inn Carbondale Location is okay. Location aside, this place is TERRIBLE! Bug problem, hygiene problem, and plumbing issues. First, I reported the bug problem, and to fix, an employee came to my room to spray FEBREEZE. While Febreeze doesn't fix bug problems, it did help with the smoke smell in my non-smoking room. Second, there was a plumbing problem, so they moved me to another room, only to discover there was vomit on the nightstand , vomit the floor, and vomit on the bedskirt. I'm not sure how housekeeping missed that. Thirdly, they moved me to another room, that that room didn't have vomit, and it was so late, we had to make the hard choice of sleeping in the rental car, or hunker down for the night in this nightmare of a hotel. In retrospect, I should have chosen sleeping in the rental car. We asked for a refund, but their local management refused. Spare yourself the hassle, and pick a different hotel or sleep in your car.

SAVE YOURSELF- the pictures are wrong Save yourself! I thought I was smart to review images of hotel prior to booking. All the pics they showed were stock photos. All the doors were unsecured, no front desk staff, hallways and room smelled like smoke, and pool was half empty and GREEN!!! Yuck. There is no discount worth staying at this property
