please dont book save money go elsewhere, I'm next to freeway and very noisy, there is no internet on this side of hotel, no cold water, they have builders in next door, i should have moved, here with work, never again, pool and hot tub look dirty, the gym is a joke, I would have better conditions in a prison cell.

Avoid! So many better, cheaper options in Carlsbad Wow. This place is a dump. Too many negative aspects to go in to details but some quick highlights. Old, run down rooms that smell moldy. The cleaners came once in our three night stay, and when they did they did not leave towels. Trash all over the grounds. Ice maker broken. And insulting service across the board. Carlsbad is a great town, lots of better options unless you like views of gas stations. Should be called “Carlsbad-right-by-the-highway.” There is a cool food hall (unaffiliated) next door, so there’s that.

Pipes by the sea Location great to Legoland. Room average to poor. Booked a courtyard view room and got a room looking at the housekeeping closet and pipes. Bathroom was filthy with hair in the drain. Do yourself the favor and spend a little more for a better experience.

10/10 Staff After a weeklong skate trip, logging around 30 hours in the car, and driving 4 hours down from Venice, all I wanted was a room and a shower, and the guy at the front desk was a total gem. He booked me a room for that night and spent extra time with me trying to figure out a booking.com fiasco. He was super patient and kind and recommended where to skate while I was in town. I wish I had his name so I could give him a shout-out. Secondly, I had to call the property a time or two to continue to figure out the booking.com problem I was having, and everyone I spoke to was lovely and patient. I rarely look for luxury amenities, but I would recommend this spot to anyone; plus, there is a mall/food place right across the street, so the location is prime.

Deceiving photos 0/10 definitely would not recommend. Don’t be deceived by the photos. It’s is incredibly ugly and the bed sheets had food crumbs on them when we arrived. This is more like a motel than a hotel. Bathroom clearly had bacteria around the ground and walls
