Wonderful wedding weekend Most of our wedding party stayed here. Corey made sure we had a fabulous weekend and personally oversaw our after wedding brunch on Sunday. Many of our guests said they would be returning. Wonderful beach access and in the heart of Carlsbad! Thank you Corey for your attention to detail and for a memorable wedding weekend!

Helpfulness of staff My wife, Jane S, just posted our full review, but I wanted to add something. We realized when we arrived home that we had left some things in a drawer. We called and Corey once again was so helpful. We were so grateful for the cleaning crew who turned them in and Corey immediately got them packaged up and sent to us. They are really extra-mile and made our stay just that much more enjoyable. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is the internet, which definitely needs an upgrade. It is not reliable and cuts in and out repeatedly.

A happy and delightful vacation! Our family stayed at the Carlsbad Inn for a week at the end of June. We had a wonderful time there and enjoyed our vacation very much! First of all, the staff there are very pleasant, friendly and extra mile. In particular, Cory worked with us in arranging multiple rooms for our stay. He was so patient and also answered many questions before we ever even got there. He worked very hard in our behalf. Next, the location is perfect! So many things at your fingertips! And a lovely and charming hotel. We LOVED the courtyard area! The work they have done on it is beautiful!!! And with the fun activities-such as the movie night, hot dogs and snacks on one evening, the entertainment, the comfy chairs and tables set to look out over the ocean, etc. it was a grand place! The swimming pool was also a big hit! Especially with our grandchildren. And the bike ride we went on with the complimentary cruisers there was magical! Plus, it was so carefree to have beach chairs, boogie boards, beach toys and towels right there, ready to go as you strolled down the easy beach access! We felt very spoiled! The rooms were nice and they were clean and inviting! I think perhaps the only few suggestions we would have would be to have a sink in the kitchenette area. And to have recycling bins and larger wastebaskets in the room. And lastly, our internet was quite temperamental when we tried to use it for a zoom meeting. This is a hotel that works so well for families, but also for individuals and couples! We very much enjoyed ourselves! I would have given it 41/2 stars if I was able to!

Amazing staff We want to specifically mention Claudia & Carina from the activity staff. These two staff members have been especially helpful, kind, and accommodating. Even while masked, their smiles and happy attitude are apparent. Our family has felt very welcomed by these staff.

A Cure for A Case of the Covid Blues - the Carlsbad Inn & Beach Resort This was my first long distance trip for a long time beyond the neighborhood supermarket. I needed a getaway and had some business in southern California. Though I’ve had the vaccine shots, I was still a little apprehensive about air travel and booking a room in another state. When I saw the sign “Masks Required” on arrival at the entrance to the City of Carlsbad, I could tell right away that California was even more strict than Georgia about Covid safeguards. The Carlsbad Inn also had signage right at the front entrance to the lobby that masks were mandatory, and all staff and guest were to wear masks. My room had a sticker across the door handle saying the room has been sanitized. Housekeeping was done on an ‘as-needed’ basis making my room exclusive to me and not open to staff during Covid. All these steps taken by the city and the Carlsbad Inn gave me confidence that I made the right decision to come back to my favorite ‘home away from home’, the Carlsbad Inn and Beach Resort. My arrival came at the same time the Carlsbad Inn was finishing up a major renovation of the grounds. The renovations did not impact my stay in any way. The biggest change I observed since my last stay about 3 years ago was in the central courtyard with views out over the Pacific. The whole area is beautiful and really welcoming with fire pits, comfortable seating, beautiful landscaping, and a newly refurbished hot tub area. The pool was in full operation and being used by the guests during my stay. I always enjoy the beach, the Carlsbad Village area, and the great service and facilities at the Carlsbad Inn. Don’t let Covid stop you from enjoying an awesome getaway in north San Diego County. I highly recommend you consider the Carlsbad Inn and Beach Resort as a certain cure for a case of the Covid blues.
