Good reasonably priced for young and old The pool is perfect for young children with lots of gradual shallow end. Pillows are cushy and plentiful. Fire pits at night. Ocean view. Best part might be the terrific restaurant on site. I will say the beach across the street is meh. This was our second stay here.

Exceptional Service The staff was amazing! The valet guys were outstanding! This was my 3rd visit to this hotel and they never disappoint! I was celebrating my birthday. The hotel sent a birthday surprise to my room and made sure that my stay was special. I am looking forward to returning in the future.

Faily Reunion The whole vibe of this wonderful resort was off the charts. Felt so welcomed every where....front desk, restaurant, gift shop,......Our suite was spacious and comfortable appointed. The mattress was awesome, best sleep we've had in months.

Motel room in a 4-star hotel The hotel lobby, pool, and restaurant felt 4-star, but our room was rather shabby like a motel. The chair to the desk was very old and ripped and the window screen was off-kilter so we couldn't open the window. Also, when we left the room for the day we made sure to leave off the "do not disturb" tag so that the room would be cleaned, and hopefully the window would be addressed. When we got back at night there was a "do not disturb" tag and the room hadn't been touched. Finally, the bed to the room felt old, and I felt myself roll a bit inward. Inside the room it just felt like a motel. However, the location was excellent and the restaurant service and food was lovely. Had our room been nice it would have been a great experience.

So. Cal experience at its best Just an awesome location. Friendly service was just an extra good thing! The room was clean and comfortable, the desserts were really good too. We would definitely stay there again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a great Carlsbad location
