Hilton Garden Inn Carlsbad Beach

Very good Nice and clean hotel close to the beach, very affordable price, good service. Room was spacious and beds are comfortable. There is a restaurant and happy hour. The pool is good size and there are also ping pong table and other games. Very good choice for the price.

Honest review Great location! Views of the ocean. The beach is walkable and clean. Free coffee in lobby in the morning. Room could use an update. Great amenities and games for families. 5 min drive to legoland. No shuttle to legoland. There is a shower by the pool to rinse off sand from the beach. The beds and pillows really need to updated. Uncomfortable and squeaky. First night we couldn't sleep. Second night we were so tired we didn't care. Overall I would come again just for the location. It is a 3 star hotel. Parking is not free. 2 nights with all the fees cost is 700$

A steal for the price! Beautiful hotel and amazing location! Not too far from San Diego and many attractions, right on the coast line, and great staff. Carlsbad area itself was very nice and had great beaches and food. This hotel was amazing, especially for its price. We ended up extending our stay because we loved it so much!

A good stay overall, a few negative quirks A nice property for sure. Across the street from the ocean, keep in mind that you will also see the street from your oceanfront room, and because the beach also has a cliff you may not be high enough in your room to see waves. Very nice lobby, lounge areas, pool areas, game area and restaurant. All feel somewhat updated. Several fun game options available for free. Shuttle service and chair set up for South Ponto Beach is an exceptional perk, take advantage of it! Not walking distance to the village, but only a short drive and they also have shuttle service. Our room was a good size and clean. Beds were mostly firm. Most staff was great, with a couple exceptions. We checked in after 9pm and the masked young man working the desk did not seem to want to even speak, he handed me my keys, no orientation, no directing me toward my room, no speech about the amenities, nothing. He was awful and very unwelcoming. I had to go back the next morning and Steve was fantastic and gave me all the information I needed. Steve was great! Also, the restaurant was really decent, lots of full menu and buffet options and all the staff was great, except Linda. Somehow we kept getting seated in her section and the experience was similar to the night desk man, no conversation, seemed to just not want to speak, mumbled under her breath, hard to tell if she heard your order as she would not acknowledge what you said, served coffee in mugs that showed all the spillover. just less than friendly or customer service oriented. The last two quirks- our room had an adjoining room (that we did not use). The door separating the rooms is so thin that we could easily hear the conversations of the guests in the next room, and of course this means they could hear ours. This was only through the door and not the walls. Lastly, the sink water…OMG, the smell from the sink water is about the nastiest thing you’ll experience. We transitioned to bottled water for anything sink related. The shower did not have this same smell, just the sink. It was the most rancid sulfur sewage smell. Besides the quirks and two poor service workers, the rest of the property and staff were very good. I didn’t get all staff names but overall the majority of employees were very helpful and friendly. We might opt to stay closer to the village next time, however if not this would likely be our place to return. Thank you.

We'd return Nice property. Room on third floor was fairly quiet and grateful passing train didn't toot its horn. Included breakfast bar would have been nice but the cost was reasonable. Would have loved espresso selections but didn't see any. Nice all around though.
