This is not a resort. This is not a resort. This is an old hotel, a step above a motel. My husband keeps saying I need to read reviews before booking places and darn, he’s right. There is a little balcony which was nice since I had work to do and there’s no desk/sitting area. The AC simply does not work. It’s loud and doesn’t cool off the room. The room was comfortable after about 3am when the temps cooled off. There is a fan in the room, so they know the AC doesn’t work. It’s Arizona- it’s hot. The water pressure is minimal in the sink and shower. That’s a bummer. The state sign states the highest rate is $175 but I paid more and I see it listed for more. This hotel isn’t worth $175 a night. Or $150 a night.

If you have ever stayed at a RESORT, know that this is NOT ONE! Super disappointed in this hotel. Not only is it extremely outdated, I don't know how they can classify it as a resort. First, the rooms are so completely outdated and our room did not have A/C. It was mid 70's when we were there. They did have a portable A/C or fan in the room but when we would come in at noon or later it was super muggy and hot even with the portable A/C running all day. Made for a miserable sleep. Never stayed in a hotel room that was that hot or muggy. House keeping came at 8:30am the first day and since we were still in the room we asked them to come back in an hour or two and they said ok. By 11:30 they still hadn't come and so we called the front desk to let them know they haven't shown up. Got back later in the afternoon and room was still not cleaned. Called front desk again only to find out that housekeeping leaves at 2pm so room could no longer be cleaned. During a shower on our 2nd day the water stopped working. Come to find out it was a water main break in the area. Weird because the toilet worked just fine but we couldn't turn on the shower or the sink. I took video because that has never happened during a stay. My son couldn't take a shower that day before his tournament. Housekeeping came and cleaned our room after there was no running water. I guess they just do a wipe down since there was no water. When he finished the tournament I went to front desk to let them know we would be leaving and staying at another hotel. They accommodated this but said they cannot offer anything else for the previous night/that day that we went without water. For $300 a night that seems a little unfair. The quality of the hotel is so old and rundown and I will never stay there again. We ended up going 25 mins away to stay at the Harrah's Ak Chin and had a lovely room and stay. The golf course itself is pretty run down too. Was just hoping for something nicer considering it said Resort. Don't get your hopes up.

Anniversary get away. We book a suite expecting,(for the price) a nicer room. All the soft surfaces were very worn. The big soft chair had splits in the arms. The sofa also showed a lot of wear and stained spots. The bed was typical of a “cheap hotel” with deep holes and worn areas in the mattress. The carpet also was well worn, dirty and had stains. The staff was very friendly and the service was very good. Five stars! The restaurants; Duke’s and Legends, we both very good with comfortable atmospheres, very good food and outstanding service. Five stars!

Overpriced and Dated My friend and I really had an awful experience at this "resort". For starters, I called to let the front desk know that my friend and I were on a long road trip and were looking to stop somewhere that offered nice rooms, room service and a hot tub. I was assured that this place could accommodate what we were looking for. Upon arrival we discovered that the rooms were very dated and had NO AIR CONDITIONING on an 80 degree day and no screen to the balcony so we couldn't even take advantage of the cooler night air. Something that should have been mentioned when I called before booking. The tv was small and close to the floor with no modern options for watching movies or streaming platforms. The hot tub was not hot and filled with bees. Not to mention the entire area was covered in bird poo and in need of a pressure wash. When I asked if the hot tub could be heated and skimmed I was told an engineer would need to be reached as the hot tub doesn't always work properly. Something else that should have been mentioned when I first called to inquire about the hotel. The service staff in the restaurant were all great, but my to-go pasta was terrible. I ordered it with extra sauce on the side and it came with no sauce at all. When I walked back to have sauce added they covered it with charred green peppers which was just weird. As we left the hotel we called to request a luggage cart, but they do not assist guests who need carts upon arrival and therefore can't keep track of them and could not provide one. The worst part about it all was the price. We ended up spending well over $300 on the room plus food and drink and felt that it was a complete waste of money and wished that we had just gone to Phoenix to find what we were looking for.

John Wayne was here!! We had lunch in the Cafe only. Loved that it was dedicated to John Wayne who we are a fan of. The food was and service was good. The food was all nicely prepared and we were told it is all fresh and made on site. I had a black bean burger and it was yummy, large portions and I was able to order the side of my choice. My husbands fish and chips was very good. The fish seemed nice portions of fresh cod. It did not seem that busy yet our food took a while. Fortunately we were in no hurry and the environment was fun and friendly.
