Don't come for the barbecue! Don't come for the food! Picture from today's Labor Day Barbecue. The place was packed with hungry players expecting a barbecue, but the food ran out early. It's happened before. You play for points to get the free barbecue, but they run out. Why, when there is a fully stocked kitchen just yards away, wouldn't they simply restock the barbecue from their kitchen? This is what was left: lettuce, peanut butter cookies (yuck) and macaroni salad

Better experience than last visit. Much better experience this trip. Room was clean, and bed was comfortable. Was very happy to see they did away with the little bags and had an actual ice bucket. Gave 4 stars instead of 5 because ice machine on 3rd floor was out of service and elevators from parking garage were out of order. Also was very difficult to get a drink while gambling. All and all had a very enjoyable visit.

Another Birthday Ruined at the Gran Z Hotel After reading the previous reviews, it seems that ruining guest's birthdays are a common occurrence. I made plans to celebrate a milestone birthday 4/14-4/16. I reserved 2 rooms well in advance, received a confirmation email on Monday 4/10. On Thursday evening I called the hotel to confirm that one of the rooms was handicap accessible. Within minutes of my inquiry I received a untrue. phone call from someone named Tony. He identified himself as the hotel manager and informed me that my reservations were being canceled and I was banned from the hotel due to a conflict back in mid January 2023. I allowed a party that had been identified as a victim of domestic violence to stay in my room. Although I didn't stay in the room, I was using it to shower etc while my hot water heater was being replaced. Within the first 24 hours of check in I discovered that other persons that were not authorized to use the room were staying in it. I immediately informed the front desk and accompanied security to the room to identify the the unauthorized parties in the room. Tony stated that this incident was not the first time I "had caused issues". That is absolutely untrue. I have never been notified of ANY damages, nor I have ever lost a security deposit. To confirm a reservation several days in advance and then cancel it less than 24 hours before guest check-in is unacceptable. My best friend and her significant other were making a difficult trip to be here for my celebration. Her s/o has been in and out of Craig hospital for the past several months. This trip was really going to be the first chance they've had to hang out with friends since his accident. To have to call them and tell them not to come was embarrassing for me and a huge disappointment for them. It was ok for me to spend my time and money in their casinos for the past 3 months without hearing a word about an issues with the hotel. You put a huge damper on what was to be a fun celebration for me as well as ruining some well deserved respite for my friends. Well Done.

Horrible The worst don’t waste your money They over charge you with no explanation and will not reverse charges The air comes through window’s making a screaming noise sleeping was difficult Cashier was rude when I cashed out my ticket poor customer service gave attitude and was unwilling to help No lemonade for strawberry lemonade at Starbucks Employees cussing and complaining about others on sales floor Cocktail waitress complaining about customers No one attended front desk out my checkout around 930a They ruined my whole stay for my birthday THE WORST!

My 56th birthday I was really excited to see what Blackhawk was about 1st visit and will be the last. 1. We went to the grill and we ordered our drinks then sat there for almost 30 minutes and no one asked if we needed to order a couple came in about 5 minutes after us and was receiving their food I got up and went down to the deli and a lady asked what we wanted to order I explained that I wanted to order upstairs she ended up comping our meal good thing it was free cause the prime rib was chewy and the baked potato had foil pieces in it. 2. There was no coffee anywhere in the building and when you tried to get a drink from a waitress she said go sit at a machine or go to the bar. 3. I came for my birthday spent 500 bucks and it was the worst time I just went to my room and did what I could have done at home. I won't be recommending or coming back Worst place ever. Oh one plus the room was clean.
