A+ We have stayed several times at the Fairville Inn. With recently updated rooms that are tastefully decorated it remains one of our favorites.Breakfasts are phenomenal! Staff are professional and accommodating. There is an area in the Main House stocked with a small collection of snacks , coffee, and tea for guests. Highly recommended.

Oasis in Chadds Ford This inn is spectacular. It is pristine, immaculate and the decor is outstanding. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Breakfast was phenomenal. Food was so fresh, delicious and beautifully served. Our room was a sanctuary. Very comfortable bed, cozy fireplace, lovely porch with rocking chairs overlooking the lovely grounds and the bathroom was modern and clean. Can’t wait to visit again.

Great location to Longwood Gardens This is in a great location for visiting Longwood Gardens or Winterthur. The room is very true to the pictures, but even better was the view out the sliding glass windows. Beautiful hedgerow, plantings and very private. I think we were in room #1. It had a nice deck (that could use a painting and some repair) to sit on if the weather was good. That expanse of glass looking out really made the room special. We enjoyed the fireplace in the room and the 2 easy chairs are super comfortable, way more than they look in the pictures! We brought the porch table in to use as a foot stool. Our only snag was that the kuerig broke and there was no one on duty to help us sort that out, even though it was only 5 in the afternoon. In general it felt like once you were checked in you were on your own. The included breakfast each morning was delicious. You do need to tell them the night before what time you are going to eat and what you are choosing off the 5 item menu. All in all a nice stay.

Excellent inn but something felt just off We stayed three nights in Carraige House 1 at the end of September as part of a short road trip. The room was large and fairly sparse, quite unlike most other B&B's. The bathroom was also a decent size with large shower and there was a side room with desk and sofa bed along with coffee machine. We appreciated the space and the king bed was comfortable with excellent bedding. We did though hear everything that was going on in the room above and the view from the small patio showed that the grounds, although plentiful and potentially attractive, were in need of some TLC. Breakfast was top notch with a choice of four items but had to be ordered the night before at a preferred time which was ok by us but could be an issue for some. As others have said the location was excellent being close to all the sights of the Brandywine Valley and there were some good restaurants located within a ten minute drive. Something though felt off. Maybe it was the absence of the owners despite the best efforts of innkeeper Nancy or maybe it was a sense that upkeep of the property wasn't what it could or indeed should of been.
