Comfortable for 1 night, needs upgrading and local neighborhood is questionable. We are on a road trip stayed here 1 night. We came here after staying in a Hilton Garden Inn in Edmond, Okla. Sadly the area of Champaign is not at the level of Edmond. But the hotels are very similar in style and set up. The hotel is attached to a convention center, has a full restaurant/bar in it. A small market with frozen foods, drinks, chips, candies, etc. The rooms are super spacious with lots of counter space, microwave, refrigerator, coffee set up w/Keurig machine. Sadly this Hilton Garden Inn is heavy worn. The rooms lack lighting or lighting is limited/dim. A/c unit a bit louder but works well. Bathroom is smaller and the bathroom wasn’t as clean as I like it. Someone else’s hair in the bathtub and hanging on the wallpaper. The Shower shampoo dispenser did not work so had to use body wash to clean my hair. the beds and pillows seems comfortable. The front desk staff Kacie was wonderful and welcoming upon arrival at 10pm. Major concern was location and would our parking lot be safe. The front desk said they have never had a problem.

Another Perfect Stay Stayed at this hotel back in 2022 and had a lovely stay, the hotel is still just as lovely. Rooms are newly renovated, beds are comfortable, and the staff were all very friendly. Breakfast was great, although very few items the fall within the F&B credit allowance. Pool was nice as well. Overall a very solid HGI and certainly where I would stay in Urbana/Champaign the next time I'm in the area for work.

Clean and comfortable with a topnotch staff We always try to get a room here when visiting Champaign. It's reliably clean and comfortable, and the option of a made-to-order breakfast is a big plus. The staff are unfailingly professional and friendly. On our most recent visit, we were in Champaign for a memorial service for a family member. Latrice at the reception desk was exceptionally kind and helpful.

Pleasant staff We had a bit of mixup with our reservation. Our fault not Hilton's but the front desk quickly got us checked in. Room was clean, bed comfortable. We were on the west side of the building and not bothered by any railroad noise. Good location near the campus, lots of dining choices nearby. Friendly staff, always cheered with a hello.

Clean and convenient The hotel was clean, and conveniently located near the family we were visiting. The lobby was spacious, as were the rooms. The layout was a little weird to navigate, with the attached conference center. Some of the back doors also said you could get in with your hotel key, but then there weren't actually scanners for you to get in. It was odd and annoying haha. I will say, we came during a big power outage that left a lot of locals without power, so the hotel was jam packed. The woman at the front desk was very crabby, but likely she was being overrun by calls from people without power calling to see if there were rooms, when there definitely weren't rooms. She wasn't handling the situation well. Also, there was a big parking lot, but it was entirely full. Which was frustrating when we'd had a reservation booked for weeks and were expecting a place to park our car. We made it work. It was fine.
