Slept well! Room was on the 10th floor. Had nice views of the pool and great sunsets. Room was clean and quiet. Mattress was just right and we slept well. I will stay here again in the near future. Aroma has delicious breakfast items that you can take on-the-go.

Scam The hotel and the police have a dangerous scam going on. When you go to pick your vehicle up the'll refuse to give you your keys and claim your drunk. They have somebody waiting that claims to be a taxi but has no business as such and wants cash only, no credit cards allowed. When it happened to me the only option was to take their taxi or I'd be arrested for trespassing. This person could be a criminal for all the cops know, or since they're working with them they probably know. They didn't give me the option to walk off the property nor did the hotel tell me I was trespassing, especially when my vehicle is being seized. I didn't have the cash which this civilian wanted, which is over twice as much as an Uber. $100 to be exact for a $40 ride home so I had the driver let me off at a close by gas station where I called an Uber. It's very apparent the hotel, the police, and the so-called taxi cab driver have a scam going on. They prey on older single distinguished looking gentleman and perhaps ladies that don't have anybody with them to witness what they're doing or be an option to drive them home, and looks like they have lots of cash in their pocket. The police officer also used unnecessary force and injured my shoulder trying to get me out of the taxi threatening to take me to jail if I didn't comply with taking the taxi, instead of just asking me to step out of the vehicle like most officers should. Stay away from this place or you can be next.

There are FAR better options in Phoenix than this In the heart of the Valley of the Sun, where the warm desert breeze dances through the cacti and the sun sets in a blaze of orange and pink, lies a collection of casinos owned by the Gila River Indian Community. While these establishments may beckon with their bright lights and promises of fortune, a closer examination reveals a stark reality: they may not be the best choice for your entertainment dollar. The allure of the slot machines, with their flashing lights and enticing sounds, can be hard to resist. However, if you’re a fan of spinning those reels, you might want to think twice before placing your bets at these casinos. The return-to-player (RTP) average at Gila River casinos hovers around a dismal 80%. In comparison, the bustling casinos of Las Vegas boast an RTP of 95.5%—a significant difference that highlights just how much more value you can get for your money elsewhere. This information is readily available on the Arizona State Gaming Commission website and various other online resources. Moreover, the Gila River casinos have established a stronghold in the southeastern part of the valley, with four casinos located within a mere 20-minute drive of each other. This concentration creates a monopoly that stifles competition, as state law and gaming pacts prevent other entities from opening new casinos in the area. With limited options and a captive audience, the Gila River casinos have little incentive to improve their payout rates. For those who consider themselves high-stakes players, the situation becomes even more concerning. The higher your bets, the more you may notice a significant drop in payback percentages. The casinos seem to thrive on this dynamic, hoping that players will wager more, unaware of the consistently low returns they face. It’s a tactic that can quickly turn a fun night out into a frustrating experience. Among the Gila River casinos, San Tan Mountain Casino stands out for its particularly low payouts. The establishment has a peculiar tradition of announcing any player who wins $2,000 or more over the loudspeaker, which raises eyebrows. If $2,000 is deemed a “large payout,” one must wonder what the average player is actually taking home. The reality is that many patrons may leave feeling shortchanged, having invested their hard-earned money in a system that offers little in return. In a region as vibrant as the greater Phoenix area, there are countless alternative ways to spend your time and money. From exploring the stunning landscapes of the Sonoran Desert to enjoying the rich cultural offerings of local art galleries and theaters, the options are endless. Dining at exquisite restaurants, attending live music events, or simply enjoying a day at one of the many beautiful parks can provide far more fulfilling experiences than a night at a Gila River casino. In conclusion, while the bright lights and excitement of the Gila River casinos may draw you in, it’s essential to consider the value of your dollar. With the lowest return-to-player averages in the country and a monopolistic grip on the local gaming market, these casinos may not be the best choice for your entertainment. Instead, explore the myriad of other activities that the Phoenix area has to offer—your wallet will thank you.

Great property! The rooms are great - well thought out and very comfortable. Very clean. Shula Steakhouse was fabulous- cost $100+ per person. The casino was fun and well staffed. The concert venue is great. Overall we would definitely go there again! We look forward to going back.

Disappointed in the one hour Lalah Hathaway concert This review was actually based on the Layla Hathaway concert that I just attended last night. The entire show lasted for ONE hour. The tickets were expensive $94.00 each and I made the mistake and purchased 2. I like Lalah Hathaway, but I was really disappointed in the fact that I paid so much for two tickets and only received a one hour concert.
