Great Location and Staff but Needs Up Keep The staff is great from the calls I made before arriving to checkin and daily interaction. Location is perfect. Close to the market as well as many of the popular attractions and restaurants. Lobby and hallways are well kept. The rooms seemed clean but the furniture was a bit worn. I would expect better but that was not my concern. The up keep of the room was pretty bad. The shower controls were loose and had trouble setting temperature. The towel rack is falling off the wall. There was a huge stain on the ceiling from water damage. Around bathroom sinks were a mess with damage to the walls that was not patched and painted, both needed to be caulked and just in poor condition. I understand I am not buying this hotel room so I should understand some wear and tear but this seems like whoever is in charge of maintaining just does not care. When leaving the from desk asked about my stay and I mentioned that the room need maintenance. The response was we know and it is a common observation from other guests.

Loved it! I had one day for my bucket list stay in Charleston and I certainly picked the right hotel!!! The room was incredible....clean, quiet and beautiful. I was amazed with the kitchen (not kitchenette) and the spaciousness of the entire "room". It basically is the cutest apartment, not just a one room with a bed in it. The location was perfect for us. The market is right across the street, so many restaurants within walking distance (and I have trouble walking due to a recent knee replacement} and I was able to get around without a problem. Now, for the best reason to try this hotel is the staff! Specifically Stacy! Everyone was beyond friendly and helpful! No matter who was at the desk, during our stay, they were kind and very knowledgeable about the sights, navigating the area and ALWAYS SMILING!!! Hopefully I will get back to Charleston and without a doubt, I will stay at this hotel again!

Comfy, convenient location, friendly staff. Highly recommend, will stay here again. Great place to stay in the middle of everything. Parked the car and walked the city. We had a 2 level suite on the second floor overlooking the courtyard. 1st level bedroom and full bath. Comfy bed. 2nd level sitting area with sofa bed, half bath and full kitchen. Would be good for family with children or 2 couples.

Absolutely recommend!! Highly recommend this hotel!!! It provided everything we could want for our 3-day stay in Charleston. From when we first stepped in and saw the beautiful staircase and cobblestone flooring, we felt immersed in Charleston culture. There’s an outside courtyard with water fountain that added to the beauty of the whole place. We were greeted efficiently and went to our room one floor up. All rooms are entered from the second floor and are 2 floors inside so you will need to be able to go up stairs once in the room. We entered into a kitchen and sitting area and half bath and the bedroom and full bath were upstairs. Walk-in closet by beds to put luggage and very large closet in bathroom to put all our toiletries. The beds were very comfortable and we even had a balcony overlooking the market. The housekeeping staff was so incredibly friendly and helpful. Exceptional team there. The room was very clean and outside as well, as we saw them wiping down the wood trim in the hallways. Our room was updated and beautifully decorated. There were minor things, if one is looking for perfection, but I won’t even mention because they didn’t take anything away from our stay in the room. Housekeeping would be free on the 3rd day we were there so we didn’t get it, but anything we needed (toilet paper, towels) was provided as soon as we asked. The front desk even happily held our luggage after checkout. The location is right in the center of the historic district and across the street from the market, additional stores, many eateries and historical locations. We walked most places. There is not anything else I could think of that we would have wanted. This place provided it all and we are very happy we chose it.

Great Comfort and Location Friendly staff, extremely comfortable bed and fully equipped kitchen. Location is excellent-close to everything but quiet. It’s a quirky little hotel that adds to the French Quarter vibe. IMPORTANT: rooms are 2-levels. LR, Kit, 1/2 bath then sleeping is up a flight of stairs. Recommend and would stay again.
