HarbourView Inn

Wonderful hotel, perfect location for walking about . Construction across street did not interfere with our stay. This was an important anniversary trip. When we arrived, the staff had a bottle of champagne and glasses waiting for us in our room. That was a wonderful surprise. We met two other couples with the same anniversary and have already decided to meet at least one of them here again next year. Sorry :-) about the champagne bottles and glasses we left on the roof, but we had a great visit and nice time spent with new friends.

LOVED Harbourview! What a wonderful place to stay! The attention to detail by guest services was first class…from the front desk to the valet! We enjoyed the afternoon wine and cheese followed by the cookies and milk each evening. They had a supply of umbrellas to use during the rainy days which we definitely needed. Breakfast was warm and delicious and always came on the time requested. The proximity to all of the major historic sites and great restaurants was a bonus! Loved Poogan’s Smokehouse and The Griffon—fun place was very good food! Take time to drive out to Middleton Plantation—loved learning from all of the presenters at the home tour. Thank you Harbourview staff—we will definitely return!

This is a special place We really enjoyed our stay. This place was really special. The location was perfect. Right across from the water and walkable to just about everything. The rooms were large and comfortable. The mattress was the most comfortable thing I’ve ever slept on. Breakfast was delicious and it was really nice that you could have it delivered to a variety of locations within the hotel. The wine and cheese reception was one of the highlights of our entire trip. We got to know other guests and feel like we have made great connections with them, We became like a little family. It was so nice that there was a refrigerator case of water in the lobby that you could take bottles from anytime you needed them. There were fresh bottles in the room, refrigerator most days also. Fruit, infused water, iced tea, and lemonade were available all during the day as well, we did not know this and had bought drinks that we ended up sending home with some of our new friends that had driven for their vacation since we did not need them. We did not use the bikes, but some of the other guest did and really enjoyed that. We did not know that there was a mini walking tour that was available twice a week in the park across the street, that was complementary. I can’t say that the guide was great and actually gave some poor information and recommendations, but he was very knowledgeable about the history of the city as he is a native. So it was enjoyable nonetheless. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and if we end up back in the area, we will stay there again. I do have a small complaint that when booking there was no indication of any discounted rates like other hotel chains do. I reached out via email to ask several questions and I decided to just throw it out there and see if they offered a AAA discount and I was very surprised to hear that they did. There was no clear way to select that when booking. But I was instructed to go ahead and book and they would take care of it on the backend and send me an updated confirmation. And they did. They were very patient and answered all of my questions.

Gem in French Quarter of Charleston This hotel is located in the French Quarter with multiple restaurants within walking distance. An oceanfront room afforded a view of the harbor and fountain/walkway across the street. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable ( Tempeurpedic!). Staff is super friendly and helpful. Breakfast can be brought to your room or rooftop dining area. You order what you want off a menu card the night before and Voila - it’s delivered at the half hour time slot you chose. A very clean facility. We really enjoyed the cookies & milk put out in the lobby at night. Nice touch! You won’t regret staying here. It’s the nicest place I’ve stayed in a long time We paid the same room price in Myrtle Beach and it wasn’t half this nice.

Beautiful and Clean Hotel! The HarborView Inn is excellent. It is very clean and comfortable. The room we stayed in was clean & spacious and the bathroom area was large. Plenty of space for 4 adults. The room was tastefully decorated, comfortable and cozy. Plenty of space to put away our clothing and belongings, including hanging space, plenty of drawers and surface space. Beds and pillows were clean and comfortable. Service was excellent. All staff was helpful and accommodating. We really appreciated and enjoyed the delicious wine and cheese reception and the cookies in the evening. We also appreciated and took advantage of the daily refreshments which included cucumber water, lemonade and tea. (Much appreciated with the heat & humid weather!) We also enjoyed the daily coffee options. I would stay again without hesitation. I will also recommend to all friends and family. Oh, and the location was great. We walked almost everywhere.
