Girls birthday trip If I could give this place, more than five stars, I would. Upon checking in the attendant, was very outgoing personable, and took the time to answer all questions. Finding the room was very easy and upon walking in the room exceeded our expectations. it was very beautiful and clean. We had a beautiful view of the yard and pool, we were also supplied pool towels. We are coming back again in September highly recommend

Unique experience. The inn at first glance is very different kind of hotel. The design of the facility blends in perfectly with the location. Another plus, staying at the inn allows you to walk the plantation grounds at your leisure…you are also with walking distance of the plantation’s restaurant. A few things I would do different on my next stay is request a 2nd floor room for less steps, noise and omit the soaker tun option.

Heaven in South Carolina This was heaven after having spent 3 days in a not very nice hotel "Trendy Art Hotel" in Charleston. An idyllic setting overlooking the river Ashley. The staff were charming and helpful - the rooms spacious and comfortable. For anybody interested in Architecture - it is an absolute must - designed and built 35 years ago - the design is superb and proves the point that good design does not date. You have full access to Midddleton Place with the exception of the Guided Tour to the house. There was a generous breakfast - It's a must if you are in the Charleston area - and a great place to base yourself.

Not for mobility challenged The tours offered no shuttle or help with mobility challenges. I walk with a cane and it was necessary to walk quite a long ways to attend the garden tour or the educational talk about the slaves. Therefore, I had to miss them. Even a golf cart ride to the site would have been appreciated.

Loved the beauty and peacefullness of this place We just returned from a trip to Savannah and Charleston and of all the places we stayed, which were expensive and had 5 star reviews, this was by far the best experience we had. The setting is peaceful and beautiful and the rooms are as described. The bed was comfortable, there was a fireplace and coffee maker in room and the breakfast, which was listed as continental had hot and cold servings - which were delicious. I highly recommend and my only regret was staying one night.
