Elegant Living away from home Beautiful boutique hotel from 1884, elegant antiques throughout, impeccable service, charming restaurant with a Barbados inspired courtyard. Our room had a fireplace. Secure room keys also operate the quaint paneled elevator. Valet parking is flawless. We walked to dinner every night; it's like the city was built around this corner. Definitely will stay here again!

What a wonderful memory! A fabulous girl trip birthday trip! Quiet. Amazing beds. Clean. Great location The breakfast was fabulous. Above all, the service was impeccable. Especially from Ryan, who brought us champagne and cake for my sister’s birthday. Oh, and the warm cookies What a wonderful memory. Thank you!

Wonderful hotel in an excellent location This hotel is located near so many of the things we wanted to see on our first trip to Charleston yet it is very quiet once you step inside. Our room was large and very comfortable. Every employee we encountered was very friendly and helpful. The Peninsula Grill is an excellent restaurant that shouldn't be missed. All in all, this is a wonderful hotel.

Surprising deficiencies Expected amenities were lacking for an expensive downtown hotel. No refrigerator or microwave in the room. You had to request them. The TV in the room was not a smart TV and we couldn’t bring up a channel guide. Just surprised that these things were lacking.

Disappointed and upset Let down. Disappointed. Upset. Cancelled my last 3 nights and booked new accommodations elsewhere. Rude front desk staff. Black mold on my sheets. Stains on the chair and carpet. Terrible stench (almost like bug spray and mold combined for a viscous cocktail).
