Great location to sight see A cute and quaint place to stay. The location is excellent if you want to walk all around the historical area of Charleston. We were able to walk to almost all of our excursions from here. There are lots of restaurants and shopping nearby and a Target for groceries two blocks away. The City Market is right across the street. Our room decor was a traditional older style and it was clean and neat. The bed was high up so there were stools provided but we just hopped on and off. Very importantly, the air conditioner worked great because we were there in the heat of August. The mini fridge was a great perk to have so we could store lunch food and snacks. The breakfast was continental with bagels, cereal, yogurt, fruit etc and one dish cooked daily. While we were there the dish was an egg omelette. We really enjoyed the complimentary 5pm wine and cheese/fruit hour. The hotel staff were very helpful and were great about recommendations of food and traveling around the area. Any questions we had about anything they were there to help with. On our last day a tropical storm was beginning and they made us feel comfortable and safe. Parking is two blocks away and it was easy to find the outdoor parking area. Overall we really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it!

Lovely hotel and staff! Wonderful stay in a great location! Jules was particularly helpful, and we enjoyed everything about the hotel and amenities. The evening reception and breakfast were both great, and all of the shopping and restaurants were within walking distance.

Great location and terrific comfort This was a lovely place to stay when visiting downtown Charleston. It is just across the street from the market and all of the stores around it. Historic Church Street and all of the shopping on King Street are eight at your doorstep. The staff were friendly, room was clean, comfortable and quiet, and breakfast and 5-6 pm wine reception bookends our days nicely. The bathroom was also a nice surprise as it's very modern and fresh.

Meeting Street Inn is a great place to stay This is a lovely place to stay. The location is ideal, right in the heart of the historic district. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Breakfast is delightful in the inn's lobby or outside in the beautiful courtyard. A nice selection of foods is served. There is a wine "happy hour" at 5pm with hors d'oeuvres. Very nice. You can top off your evening with a chocolate chip cookie if you like. The best thing is the friendliness and accommodating attitude of the staff. Darren, Mel, Johnnie and others were always available to help with a smile.
