Best hotel/inn experience we've had! This place was fantastic! The service was exceptional, the food and wine was lovely, the atmosphere was exceptional as well. If we could move in, we would! If you would like to stay at a place that is far beyond a place to sleep while on your travels or vacation, this is soooo recommended!

Old School Charleston This is a great old school place to stay with old southern charm. We really enjoyed our stay. The place is beautiful and our room was spacious. Our stay came with free breakfast and it is in the same restaurant as there signature restaurant for dinner and it was great and really nice. Too bad we had the rudest people every sitting next to us! The location is great and we pleasantly surprised how quiet it was given how old the mansion is. We also had a great couples massage on the premises. The only reasons I wouldn't go with a five star review is the oversized bathtub was quirky and did not work very well and there was a slight musty smell as we walked up and down the stairs. Sounds picky and is probably is. I would recommend this for couples looking for the old south Charleston feel a bit off the beaten path in a romantic setting.

Loved every second Cannot say enough good things about this hotel. You feel like you are staying with family. There is a reason they are the top hotel in Charleston - and that starts with the people. When you enter - you feel like you are coming home. Brian was so phenomenal and worked so hard from check in to check out to make our trip one to remember. His stories and knowledge of Charleston added so much. Will and Trevor deserve a shout out for all they did. The rooms bring you back in time - they are beautiful and spacious so you don't feel cramped as you do in so many places. All of the personal touches - the breakfasts, the happy hours, the after dinner drinks make everything special.

A Place so Unforgettable Wentworth Mansion really set the bar high! I can say with all honesty that this was one of the best hotel experiences ever and I cannot wait to go back. The pictures of the mansion do not do it justice. It is even more beautiful in person but most importantly, the staff make it the absolute best. Thank you Mark, Will, Brian and Kevin for such a memorable experience. You all really went above and beyond in a way that is unforgettable. My sister and I felt like royalty during our stay and we were heart broken when it was time to check out. It really felt like we were leaving family behind. If you do not stay at the Wentworth hotel, then you are seriously missing out on what a 5-star hotel really feels like. See you all again soon! :)

Raising the Bar - a Truly Top-Notch Experience Never have I been as sad on my last day of vacation as I was about leaving Wentworth Mansion. From the beautifully adorned rooms and Victorian charm to the exemplary staff that goes to extraordinary lengths to ensure guests are wowed, every part of my experience at Wentworth proved remarkable. I'll start with the room. My sister and I stayed in one of the Mansion Rooms, Room 15. Incredibly spacious, immaculate, and superbly decorated, our room gave us a sense of having stepped back in time, all while affording us all of the modern luxuries we would expect at a five-star hotel. As for the property itself, we absolutely loved the parlor and sun porch, and spent quite a bit of time there enjoying wine and hors d'oeuvres, port, and even a few card games. While it was too hot outside to enjoy the garden and rooftop to the extent that we would have liked (hello, Charleston in July), we're definitely planning a trip back during a cooler month so we can do just that. They're stunning! And now for my favorite part of staying at Wentworth Mansion - the staff. Together, they are the epitome of hospitality. That said, I would be remiss not to mention a few staff members in particular, as I truly believe they help make Wentworth Mansion the first-rate experience that it is. - Bryan and Will, who were easily the best concierges I have ever encountered. On a rainy afternoon that saw our outdoor plans canceled, Bryan, who was the personification of southern charm and hospitality, brought out cards and games for my sister and I to play in the parlor, prepared hot tea when my sister voiced that she was craving it, and checked in intermittently to make sure we had all we needed. He also took the time to talk to us about the home and its decor, a favorite subject of ours, and his pride in the place was evident at every turn, making us appreciate the mansion that much more. As for Will, with whom we had various pleasant interactions as we bustled in and out of Wentworth, he was incredibly personable and knowledgeable. He chatted with us about the house and Charleston enthusiastically, making the effort to learn about our interests and offering up ideas for fun things to do, great places to dine, etc. On getting back to the mansion during a storm, he ran out to greet us with umbrellas to ensure we stayed dry. - Kevin, who took great care of both his guests and the property. He was incredibly hospitable and attentive, exuded pride in Wentworth Mansion, and genuinely made us feel welcome at every turn. - Mark, who made our arrival and departure seamless - thank you! - Kadeisha from housekeeping, who did a wonderful job with making sure we always walked into a room that was as clean and beautifully made up as it had been when we checked in. Needless to say, I can't wait to go back! It's definitely my hotel of choice in Charleston through and through.
