Clean Older Property With Amazing Views This is an older hotel that was clean and well kept. Staff was very friendly and accommodating even upgrading our room to a King suite. Beds are comfortable. Amazing views from our room. Complimentary breakfast was very good. Pool was beautiful. Property is on a very busy road which can be a challenge when parking.

HOTEL WITH AMAZING VIEWS!!! This is an old historic hotel set on a high elevation so be ready to climb stairs. My room , queen size bed was clean and the ac was excellent. Only 1 complaint the mattress was way too soft… almost like sleeping in quick sand. My stay included complimentary breakfast…. Eggs sausage bacon fruit and toast. The on site restaurant was an excellent convenience.. although a little pricey. Happy hour bar prices were excellent . My second complaint… they were out of chicken wings and they ran out of taco shells for the fish tacos. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Our Stay at the Mafolie Hotel The Mafolie Hotel is a good hotel for those looking to escape with a great view of the harbor! I was there for a girls trip and we stayed in the villa. The hotel has a lot of steps, so if you’re not good with going up and down a lot of steps, this hotel is going to be a challenge for you. Happy hour was nice, but limited, as far as food options … a lot of cross outs on the menu. We enjoyed the tempura style cauliflower and garlic bread. We dined here for dinner one night and we weren’t too impressed. The ribs were very tough and not very appetizing. The villa was very nice and it accommodated our party of 6. The pool pictures did not match with what was present during our stay. There was no pool bar. I would stay here again.

WILL NOT GO BACK This hotel had beautiful views but- it ends there. Broken and outdated furniture- ants- musty odor- right on a street and extremely noisy. Had to take taxis everywhere and that became quite costly. Not convenient to anything. Pictures on TripAdvisor are soooo misleading. Staff - Maria- Ri- Jatu were wonderful - woman with the beehive hairdo not so much. Was afraid every night a car or truck would lose control and crash into our room. Did not feel safe in the room. Restaurant for breakfast was just ok- Jatu worked very hard. Minimal menu- minimal eggs. Wonder what planet the rave reviews from travelers are from. Pool was dirty- So- I would call this hotel a dump.

HOTEL MAFOLIE - STAY AWAY I don’t know if I can trust Trip Advisor anymore! We booked this hotel upon your recommendations with 4 couples, and it was an awful experience. From the descriptions on your site, we were expecting a lovely boutique hotel! It probably wasn’t updated since it opened in 1970, and it is truly falling apart! The staff was nice..they tried, but they couldn’t make up for the conditions we experienced. Examples…total sparse rooms, ants in the room, unkempt entrances, no coffee availability before 8 a.m., breakfast, on our first morning was not served for an hour because the chefs didn’t show up…that evening the bar and restaurant closed because they didn’t have staff, one umbrella at the pool, pool water wasn’t clean…..need I say more? The only positive it has going for it is the view of the Charlotte Amalia harbor…spectacular! Hoping, a large chain buys it and totally rebuilds it.
