Dirty We’ve stayed in a lot of condos and this was the worse by far. The room was ok. The king bed sunk in the middle and the carpets were pretty disgusting. The worse part was the pool. It looks great in the photos but the water was so murky and just dirty. We arrived in the evening so I thought it was just used A LOT and maybe the following day we could see the bottom of the pool. Nope all 3 days it was like this. I stood in the pool and it looked like someone sprinkled pepper in it. Seriously the most disgusting pool I’ve ever seen. No filters to be found and no jets so pretty much stagnant water. Very disappointed considering the cost of $300 a night. Stay somewhere else in Chelan.

Don't stay here! We stayed in the presidential suite. We could hardly see out of the dirty windows over the lake. The staff never came to replace coffee or any amenities. For $5,000 I would never stay there again. The place is dilapidated and they don't seem to care.

The Grandview is a great property for lakefront vacation in the sun! What a GRAND view! Our 2 bedroom unit with full kitchen, living, and balcony had an unobstructed lake view. The unit and property are well maintained. I noticed the white bath towels were soft and luxurious for a rental, a nice detail. The Main Street business district is a short walk. There’s a lovely riverside walk that crosses 2 bridges nearby. We enjoyed a movie one night in the town’s historic Ruby Theater, a short walk from our condo. There was a vintage hydroplane exhibition on the lake that we enjoyed watching from the sun deck on the property. There is a lakeside pool but it was closed for the season apparently.

GrandView is a grand disappointment! Terribly disappointed in our experience this year. We've been going here for the past 10+ years. The WiFi is atrocious and can't even keep a connection. Don't expect to stream anything or even check your email. Why do they keep advertising WiFi that doesn't work? Today and yesterday the only elevator was "Out of Order" and so we needed to haul out luggage down the small flight of stairs. Couldn't use the luggage carts and strained our backs trying to check out. The AC units were failing to keep the room cold. They emailed "tips" about AC use (close doors, keep at 70 or above, etc.) but threatened to charge guests for misuse. We were sure to abide by these rules but you could tell how badly the AC units needed to be replaced. Some of the AC units gave off a musty odor as well. The master room King size bed in Room 303 was absolutely horrible to sleep in. They haven't been rotating the bed and so the side next to the bathroom was completely flat and out of any cushion. The other side was fine and actually decent. We woke up with the worst neck and back pain, and leg cramps in the middle of the night. The staff offered nothing other than to rotate and flip the bed. While rotating, we noticed undesirable stains on the pillow top. Since the rooms are furnished by a single owner, not Windermere, they couldn't swap mattresses. The front desk staff can only help getting you your key and few other tasks. I don't blame them but their customer service and ability to help alleviate any of our issues was not helpful. Most of our requests were met with blank stares and even an eye roll. No access to a manager and anyone with any authority to actually do anything. Windermere's and condo owners' tactic for cutting costs is apparent. We've been long time guests who will be going elsewhere for our next stay. Our group typically reserves 4-5 large rooms for a week at a time. Does Grandview even care? It's still been a few days after and management hasn't reached out to us. The only positive is the view but nothing else after our poor experience.

Grandview NOT What it Used to Be Our family has been vacationing at Grandview in Chelan for over a decade. Grandview’s conditions have continuously deteriorated over the years. Obviously during the COVID summers challenges were to be expected. Every single summer there are less lounge chairs on the property and NUMEROUS broken ones. The shorter beach type chairs popular and practical for use on the dock are basically nonexistent anymore. It’s obvious that as things have broken over the years NOTHING is being replaced. Hot tub/pool towels were once in the pool area, also, no more. Lovely flowers in some areas, other areas numerous completely dead flower pots. Just not a good look. This summer the popular floating dock just across from the large main dock completely removed. Why? Heard comments about the removal every day we were there from numerous families. Numerous challenges and instances where the TV channels just froze because they run through the internet. Staffing is unfortunately a known challenge in current times. I don’t know if the current obvious understaffing is due to Windermere Property Management cost cutting or an inability to acquire adequate staffing. Either way the result is the same. An increasingly negative guest experience. We were there 6 nights and the pool wasn’t cleaned once. NUMEROUS guests discarded items and garbage left all over the resort that were there day one of our stay still there on day six of our visit. All the common area hallway carpets and elevator carpets were absolutely atrocious and gross. This is a lake resort where numerous guests are in bare feet all over the resort. The fact is these carpets NEED TO BE CLEANED from time to time through the season. It is predictable that being on a lake can be a challenge when it comes to rodents. HOWEVER, we have been coming here for years and obviously something has changed in how rodents are or aren’t being controlled. Our patio had mouse dropping in numerous places, INCLUDING on our items that we put on our patio so mice were present DURING our visit! And NO! We did not leave any food items on our patio. Our family still had a lovely time in our large condo enjoying the fabulous lake and sunshine. HOWEVER, we are increasingly questioning whether we are getting an experience worthy of over $800 a night. The resort conditions do not reflect a $800 a night price tag.
