Traveling with Kids I truly appreciate Lynette. She is the manager. I showed up early and asked if we could store our belongings. She did one better. She had our room ready for us. Traveling with small kids I truly appreciate it that. She needs a raise. She understands mothers traveling with kids.

Chicago The stay overall was comfortable & the location was convenient to downtown Chicago & many tours/ attractions. Breakfast was decent. We were on the 37th floor & had to plan our days according to elevator traffic / waiting for an elevator to get to breakfast and/ or lobby. Lynette was very professional & warm hearted & greeted us w/ a smile on our last day of check out, she definitely deserves a promotion and/ or increase in salary as she was very caring asking guest if there’s anything they needed or how she can assist them.

Beware of small print! It was nothing fancy. Went to the pool, no towels at 3pm in the afternoon. Beware they will charge $100 deposit per night yet it will not reflect on your confirmation, receipt or verbally told at check in. You have to search ALL of the polices on the main website. I understand deposits but when you see that notated nowhere or told, it catch's you by surprise when you see the charge come over your bank account. Called the hotel front desk to ask about the charge, she told me it would take 7-10 days for my bank to deposit, then I asked to speak to a manager. I was sent to the main Hilton customer service number where they kept telling me that the deposit will not show up but it is. No incident or damage to the room. Just beware!

Book Club Weekend in Chicago The service provided by all of the front desk receptionists was phenomenal! Bella was at the front desk throughout the weekend - she was very helpful and very personable every time we were in the lobby. Oscar adjusted our reservation and got us a better rate.

Abysmal Third World Experience Do you enjoy waiting 15-20 minutes for an elevator, experiencing exceptionally rude treatment, traversing dank stairwells, and lengthy holds on telephone calls? If so, this is your spot. What a wretched place this is. First, the elevators: they lack the capacity to serve the number of rooms. It's so bad they have posted a list of riddles next to the elevator buttons so you can occupy yourself while you wait. I completed the list of riddles and still had ten minutes before the elevator arrived. When it did, it was packed so full I couldn't get on. After the first day, I started walking the 18 flights of stairs from my room. I watched a front desk clerk create and escalate an altercation with a guest because he had the audacity to ask for a free bottle of water. She made a point of letting him know they were a separate corporation not subject to Hilton's policies. She was angry, seething, utterly and inexplicably obnoxious. The room was relatively clean, thus the two stars, but old and tired. The hallways decrepit. To top off this experience, the hotel neither sent me a receipt nor did they credit my Hilton Honors points, resulting in a telephone call that spanned 36 minutes and 56 seconds, most of which was spent on hold. A truly dreadful experience all round.
