No restaurant on weekends I chose this hotel "has" a restaurant. I was in Chicago Fri-Sun for a family graduation and did not want to spend time hunting for food. The restauant is close on weekends! Yes it is disclosed in very small print on one of the pages on their website. It is a poorly run hotel and the desk clerk told me there have been several different owners in the past few years. Probably explains why it is so poorly run.

Old but nice.. Hotel was a bit dated but clean and functional. Had a room on the end and it was fine. Liked the big desk and the layout of the room. Only one thing… the water pressure was not good.. and the layout of the bathe was kinda strange.. also kinda a strange restaurant for a crown plaza.. not sure what the theme is..

Great Staff......Not so great handicapped facilities The staff of this hotel are outstanding.....friendly and eager to help. In particular, Cecelia tried her best to find us a handicapped room that would work for my wheelchair confined wife. Unfortunately, none of the rooms were laid out in a way that really met our needs. The toilet was in the center of the bathroom so there was no wall and grab bar on either side of the toilet in all rooms we looked at. The toilet was also not comfort height and the bed was quite high off the floor making it hard to get in and out of bed. We brought our own shower stool fortunately as the hotel's was small and low. With the hotel shower stool, it is likely that a helper would be needed to turn water on and off in the shower. Unfortunately, my wife dreaded every time she had to use the bathroom. Otherwise, the room outlets were not in abundance for the modern world. There was no refrig or microwave in the room but a community microwave was available by the elevators. They did offer a free late checkout which we appreciated and as I said, the staff was excellent. They can't do anything to change the facilities as they exist at the hotel

Marathon Kickoff: A Perfect Start to Our Chicago Week! We've had an excellent start to our week in Chicago with a wonderful stay. Our primary reason for being here is the marathon, and our experience began brilliantly with Alexander's warm welcome to America and the hotel. Our room is exceptionally comfortable, featuring two beds and a practical bathroom – I've already placed all my hair and dental essentials there! Plus, we're lucky to have a balcony with a stunning view of the city and its skyline. _️_ #ChicagoMarathon #MemorableStay

Terrible Experience at Crowne Plaza Chicago West Loop Booked here for one night on Friday (29th Sept. 2023) Check in was a breeze My booking included the breakfast, but to my surprise I was told at the time of Check-in, that the restaurant remains closed on Saturday and Sunday, so the Breakfast bag will be provided. Why do you take the booking with breakfast in the first place if you restaurant is closed. Went to the room, it was alright, neat and clean, but no bottles of water. Also, the Air Conditioning System is very old and made lot of noise of the blower and blower speed adjustment was not working. I checked with the Reception, the person said I could come down and take a bottle or drink from the tap. So I had water from the Tap. Next morning, I went down to get my Breakfast and I was handed over a brown paper bag with breakfast ingredients. And main reason to be put-off was the guy at the reception was talking to me as if I was asking for help and not the breakfast I had paid for. The breakfast was quite a put off. I made a late check-in and I requested a late check-out without charges and again the guy at the reception was very impolite. Overall not a very good experience and would not recommend, atleast this property of the Crowne Plaza Chain. Picture of the Lavish Breakfast is attached.
