Very nice spot The room was very comfortable. It was our anniversary, so we sprung for a suite. I would've liked a better view. The room was clean, well maintained, and modern. Central location to shopping and entertainment. I didn't get a chance to go swimming. Maybe next time. I would stay here again.

A Rough Stay for the Chicago Marathon Let me start out by saying that this is a nice property, but my overall experience at this Hyatt was terrible. There happened to be a Wi-Fi outage for almost the entirety of my stay and I was not issued a room key until the night before checkout. I know this is not a direct fault of the hotel considering it was a problem with Verizon, but no workaround or effort was made to resolve anything in a timely manner. Every single time I needed access to my room I had to come wait for someone to be available at the front desk to walk all the way to my room and let me in - I was not able to use the gym or pool areas due to this issue and that was one of the original reasons I booked my stay at this hotel. Considering I came to run the Chicago marathon - one in which I spent months training and working hard to qualify and be accepted into, the logistical problems were beyond inconvenient and frustrating. I received a $200 credit at checkout, but considering this stay was over $1300 for 3 nights, this hardly made up for any of the chaos. Further, when I paid for the "continental" breakfast, but did not splurge for the "hot breakfast" on my morning of checkout, the waitress spoke very rudely to me about what items I was and was not allowed to eat at the buffet making sure everyone on the second floor was acutely aware as well. This experience was beyond frustrating.

Highly Recommend I went during marathon weekend so it was a full house. Internet was down for most of weekend but check in was still easy and they accommodated my online request for a quiet room. Yes you are by the hospital but late at night we didn’t hear the ambulances. I can’t say enough about service. Impeccable. Rooms were always cleaned daily. I love the smell of freshly laundered linens. They have ice machines and water on every floor. Directions, umbrellas, random questions were all accommodated. And one employee went out of her way to even clean my sneaker when i accidentally stepped on poop. Just wow. The location is unbeatable. Starbucks reserve and Nike just a block away. TJ, Whole Foods and restaurants walkable. Even Navy Pier is walkable. The bus to the blue line is around the corner (#2 at Ontario) so a breeze to/from O’Hare.

Sirens! Fun fact (that they don’t advertise). This hotel is directly across the street from an Emergency Room. The ambulances reverberating off of the buildings at ALL hours is DEAFENING. On the plus side, in case of an emergency, you are almost certain to live! The shower was not clean and the wifi was down during my stay. No compensation was offered. The staff, however, were extremely friendly and helpful. Especially the breakfast staff.

A great place to stay Great stay for the Chicago Marathon. The hotel was something we did not have to worry the least bit about. The room was roomy and very clean, and the food on Level 2 was spectacular. The staff everywhere was awesome, even with it being a very busy weekend and a frustrating one for them with some technical problems they easily overcame for those of us staying.
