Avoid. Hotel management is incompetent. The hotel building and room were clean and well-maintained, and the housekeeping staff was attentive and helpful. Given these positives, this hotel had the potential to offer a great experience. Unfortunately, the gross incompetence of the hotel management completely overshadowed these attributes and left a bitter taste. Here’s what happened: I visited Chicago with my two boys, both minors, who legally cannot stay in a room alone. Therefore, I specifically booked a twin room and made an explicit request for an extra bed. Understanding that some rooms might not accommodate an extra bed, I fully expected the hotel to notify me if there was an issue. When I received a confirmation email, I reasonably assumed my request had been accepted. However, upon our arrival, I was shocked to be informed by the front desk staff that the extra bed request was not honored and that I would need to book another room. When I presented the printed confirmation email, I was told by the staff --- and later by her supervisor --- that while the hotel was aware of my request, they simply chose to ignore it. They seemed to believe that disregarding guest requests is acceptable if it serves to maximize their revenue. This is absolutely outrageous. The hotel could have easily informed me in advance that they were unable or unwilling to accommodate my request. Had they done so, I would have had the opportunity to book a room elsewhere. Instead, it appears they preferred to trap me into booking an additional room to boost their profits, regardless of the inconvenience and frustration it caused me. As a result, I was forced to sleep on the floor for two nights. This experience has left me with no desire to ever stay at a Hyatt property again.

Great stay with friends to visit Chicago I booked during a promotional period with a discount so the price was very affordable for early 20 year-olds. The hotel was super clean and nice, as were our rooms. Any questions regarding billing were easily answered and we were even offered a complimentary breakfast package! Located super close to public transportation and a grocery/liquor store, which made the stay super affordable and accessable!

Clean and great customer service! Food was excellent. I tried all three dining areas. There were a lot of people because of the conference but the staff was very pleasant and the common areas were cleaned frequently.

Hyatt Regency McCormick Place I’ve stayed at this hotel in 2022 and in 2023 around the same time I stayed this year. I felt safe, and comfortable here. It’s in a great location where you can access the bus, transit, and train. You will need to download the Ventra app to see the maps and times of departure. If you want to use the bus or transit, you can buy a pass or add money to a card depending on how often you will need to take to bus or transit. The train has a separate part in the app to buy and access the train. The train is very convenient but is in time with its schedule. Make sure to track the times of departure and pick up. It also depends on where you are wanting to be picked up and dropped off. The price is different depending on where you wanna get on or off.

Excellent Hotel This is an excellent hotel. The service is very good. It is not downtown or within walking distance of many attractions, however taxi service is reasonable and you can get to the city center within 10 -15 minutes. I highly recommend this hotel.
