Convenient Hotel with a lot to walk to My son and I stayed here for 2 nights in July so we could take in a Cubs vs Cardinals game. A short walk to the train led us right to Wrigley Field. The hotel was clean. The staff worked hard to allow us to check in early and plenty of parking was available close by. There are plenty of places to walk to from here to grab a bite to eat and is a very short walk to The Art Institute of Chicago.

Historic Hotel w/Contemporary Rooms Was looking for something more interesting than a Courtyard or Hilton Garden Inn, and the Blackstone absolutely hits the spot. Very cool historical building and lobby. Stayed in a newly (and smartly) renovated 2 Queen bed room. Beds were very comfortable, with a useable desk, chair w/ottoman and a very nice bathroom. In-room coffee was appreciated as well (so many hotels make it hard to get a cup of coffee early in the morning). Unfortunately the restaurant/bar was not open at the time of our visit. Warm hospitality from the front desk and bell services. Would stay again without hesitation. As a Marriott Category 5 this can be booked for 35,000 points which makes it a great use of co-branded credit card certificates.

Nice, but not worth the price Went during Lollapalooza so prices may have been higher due to the event, but nearly 400 a night for a decent room is unreasonable. The room is kinda small and building itself is outdated. They also were not cleaning the rooms due to covid restrictions. They dont have a place to eat breakfast. They only had one roll of toilet paper in the room and when i asked for more the guy only brought 1 more roll! The convenience is undeniable and it can save on uber charges. But overall, I am not impressed with the hotel.

Classic Chicago Hotel with Contemporary Touches My wife and I had a two-day stay at The Blackstone last week. While there are multiple hotels along South Michigan Avenue, we enjoyed this hotel in part because it has retained most of its BeauxArts decor while adding more contemporary art and design elements. Our room was a little small but well-appointed, and had great views of the South Loop and Grant Park area. The front desk staff was consistently helpful.

Just Came For The Lobby. Beautiful! On our Chicago vacation, I read that this is one of the best lobbies to see in the city. We were staying nearby, so we checked it out. Gorgeous! Definitely worth stopping in to see this lobby if you're in the area. Just beautiful. I wish we had more time to explore and see the ballrooms and such.
