Amazing Architectural Gem An amazing historical landmark with a jaw dropping architectural gem main lobby and bar. Visited during a walking architecture tour and returned for lunch and cocktail. Food was really great but, their cocktails sitting in the gorgeous lobby and main bar was something really special. Their turkey sandwich and falafel wrap was outstanding; as well as their French fries. An absolute “must visit” during your Chicago visit.

Historic and elegant Had a wonderful weekend getaway here. Lots of events taking place that weekend so many visitors roaming around town. Right in the mix of everything.. The only downsides were parking was a block away and no view. Gorgeous lobby seating area and many shops to explore.

Beautiful hotel and nice staff We had an excellent stay at the Palmer House, the hotel itself is a beautiful piece of architectural history, the staff were nice and inviting and very helpful. When we arrived we were told at the front desk that we had accidentally booked two rooms, but the staff member was very helpful and helped us fix the problem. We only paid $50 for an upgrade to the executive Floor, because it was not booked the night we're staying. The pool and gym were beautiful and massive, and the lobby was stunning, but in some places you could tell the hotels age, not necessarily in a bad way but not in a good one either.

A Grand Hotel! I was honestly a little hesitant to stay here after reading some of the reviews - but I am SO glad we did! This hotel is such a gem in every way. The grandeur, the location, the friendly service - it was just wonderful. Is it an old building? Of course it is! And it's got some of the foibles that come along with it. But nothing that dampened our enthusiasm for the place - I did not expect (nor want) a generic, cookie cutter hotel room. Our room - two beds and two baths - was surprisingly spacious, and very comfortable. The bathrooms have real tile (except the replaced tub insert) and marble floors and countertops. The beds are so comfy with fluffy linens and tons of pillows. And everyone we encountered was so friendly - the bellman, housekeeping, - it was a pleasure. Looking forward to returning!

Palmer House Never Disappoints The Palmer House never disappoints! I reserved my room for an overnight stay through Trivalgo. The front desk staff is always welcoming, gracious and efficient. Opened the door to my room to discover it was a SUITE with dining area, sitting area incl. large, white leather chairs, TWO bathrooms, frigs, tvs and a microwave! Lifted my spirits instantly!
